Larry you're reaching with that $1 price. It would cost a manufacturer more in labor, electricity, taxes and benefits than a dollar. No way they're selling them to Sony at a loss. Sony's probably paying closer to $15 on those drives.
Sony didn't put it on the market so they could brag about it's power. They wanted it to sell well. It hasn't. So that is a problem.
They won't quiet down because they are hypocrites in the first place.The truth doesn't matter, they just want to go against the Xbox. He might have said that just to see if they still had them by their noses. They can rest easy.
Besides, they released six "blockbusters" last year and no one bought most of them. Kaz knows what's he's doing. Less listening to fanboy talk and more sound business decisions.
Yeah, I'm not sure how much more mainstream it can get. The games industry is larger than the film industry at this point I believe. And the three highest openings are games. The last two CoDs and GTAIV. The story is from the Guardian so I think this is one of those situations were an old person still thinks something is still big from when they were younger. Black Ops made over 400 million in the first 24 hours in NA and the UK alone. And Halo 3 held the entertainment record back when it...
I agree that there should be background checks. I believe a ballistic fingerprint should be taken of every gun sold. I'm not a criminal so I have no problem with that. I do understand the people that say they don't want to have every gun registered because , like the some of Founding Fathers believed, we may have to take over our government. When, I should say if, people ever develop a brain and figure out the BS going on in this country they might realize that a vote might not straig...
Unemployed doesn't always mean completely broke. He may have had family support. Or help from friends. It doesn't mean someone was helping him do this. They say he is very intelligent. And guns can be gotten cheap.
Reporters make everything seem bigger than it is. They get paid to make it a "show". They always say things like "Didn't it raise flags when he bought so much ammo"? Shouldn't it raise flags when you buy so much toilet tissue? A...
There is a reason news companies don't focus on the fact that these people are usually on some kind of medication. Or have mental issues at all. It's because the companies that are responsible for dealing with those issues advertise on their shows. You won't see many VG commercials on Fox or CNN. But you'll see a ton of commercials for drugs. They won't mess with their money.
But I think you're doing the same thing CNN did with guns. The NRA goes overb...
The funny thing is the Japanese are far more into video games than Americans but they have nowhere near our murder rate. Maybe it's just us.
Oh they didn't forget. Video games are the other shark attack.
Sandman you know we aren't supposed to talk about that. Our congressman sold out for billions of dollars to look the other way as they kill thousands a year.
The major cable networks have sunk to a new low when TMZ does a more thorough investigation then CNN.
Seek society does say take responsibility but they always add an /s at the end in their heads.
The worse part of stations saying nonsense like this is that they mention that terrorist represent a small minority of a religion but for games, it seems to be all of us.
Psycho is there some race to one bubble or something?
This study explains nothing but the smell at PAX and E3.
What was the name of that video game Hitler used to always play? Napoleon used to play it too.
If the judge approves it he is corrupt. A judge shouldn't approve anything that will continue the crime at the heart of the case. He would be saying "Yes they stole from you, and yes they will be allowed to steal from you in the future, but here is a very small payment for what they stole in the past".
They stole $40 for every copy sold. 2K was charging $20 and had set the price. In order to continue to pad their profits and keep making their cheesy game, EA pa...
I'm not sure what the point was. This was about Madden, not NCAA or AFL. If the deal violated the law, then the deal must end. It sounds like the changes are only for the other products. If this settlement is allowed it is another example of how poor our court system is.
@GanjaMan
Not really. You might find a $20 credit. But games like Madden and CoD usually don't offer much. They know people are going to buy them anyway.
Who wrote that nonsense. HD DVD wasn't a poor format. It had less space. That's it. The other technical differences were a wash. HD DVD was cheaper in every way. HD DVD was just a DVD with smaller pits and a different laser. It had studio support until Sony and Toshiba decided to start paying off studios and Toshiba loss on that.
@DMS
Nvidia didn't pull the plug, MS did. With Nvidia and Intel. Neither would lower the price of the CPU or GPU. MS w...
The 16gb has to be aimed at the casual stream gaming market. Or those that already have a HD. It can't be intended for regular games. Two or three mandatory installs and you're out of space.
