There's no "open world fatigue", there's mediocre open world fatigue.
The ps4/xbox1 launch consisted mostly of ps3/360 ports and Battlefield 4(which was broken), knack, and rise. None of those games say "Great launch titles". Most consoles don't have great launch titles or come with all the promised features at launch. The launch of the switch is for people that like Zelda (which is one of the greatest games ever made), Bomberman(really fun game to play online btw), snipper clips, I am setsuna, the new shovel knight dlc, and like the 170+ games th...
@edmix
This seems to be the only console that their making in the near future there was no guarantee that another handheld would be made. A lot of the devs from the 3ds are moving the next iteration to the switch so a lot of the 3ds owners will follow and get the switch, which they can use as a powerful handheld only if they want.
For a launch 2 million is a lot of consoles. Nintendo also put out extra consoles. The best buy that I went to had about 50 extra for walk-in buyers and they said that they would have more consoles on sunday.
I've seen some people having this problem with amazon in the us too.
@AEERY
Have you seen the user scores? It's nothing but a bunch of dumbass fanboys trolling because they're mad that nintendo has a higher score than any of the games on their favorite console. These are the same asshats that did it to Uncharted 4. The user reviews on metacritic can't be trusted because any dick head can go and make a account to troll a game that they have never even played.
Why do people keep repeating this stupid ass "nintendo has low stock" bullshit like a bunch of parrots with no original thoughts? Nintendo shipped 2 million+ for the switch launch, which last I checked is a lot of consoles.
Every console but the wiiu. It took like 6 months for it to sell through it's launch units.
Hell the ps4/xboxone were also lacking in launch titles and these people were still falling over themselves to find a reason to get the damn thing. There's a bunch of fanboys in this community that don't want to see any other company besides the one they love get any praise or do well.
If you knew anything at all, you would know that nintendo shipped 2 million plus consoles for the launch. They even had a lot of new stock for walk-ins at launch. There's going to be scalpers for the launch of any damn thing just ignore them and don't buy anything from them. Let them take that L and lose their money.
This happens to literally every console. The ps4/xbox/wiiu had these reports shortly after midnight.
Same thing happened with the ps4/x1 it's the risk of being a early adapter.
Yes they are.
This year it seems like it'll be a two horse race when it comes to games.
This morning an update went out that fixed most of the fram rate drops and they few and far between.
Mario kart is still a big game that's going to outsell 99% of other games.
The dude that did the review for giant bomb said he put 90 hours in before he fought Ganon and he was nowhere near 100% completion.
Yes it is, but to be fair they are completely different games.
That would be crazy, but didn't naughty dog basically say that they haven't started working on tlou 2 yet. That might be a 2019 title
Have you ever bought a console at launch? The ps4/xbox1 had the same problems and more. It's part of the risk of buying a launch console. There's a certain rate of failure that all the consoles have.
