Also..I already own all the games so I COULD play them right now if I wanted to again, but I'll hold out on the better versions ❤️
Nobody is saying I'd pay $60. I just want a better version of the games. If I can get all 3 games in a collection for $40 that'd be pretty good, but I guarantee you this collection will have improved assets because it's also been listed for PC and why else would it be listed for PC in addition to consoles unless something was done to it so I guarantee at the BARE MINIMUM, on consoles it will be a port of the pc versions running at max settings and at the bare maximum, it will be i...
That's making an assumption....plenty of remasters improve assets. There's no reason to believe they won't do that with a remaster and even if the remasters are JUST 1080p 60fps with no better textures and effects, that's still better than the versions we have on console already....
I personally would prefer remasters of these games with better visuals than streaming the games or playing the same copies I've already played. Replaying games with better visuals is like watching old movies on new video formats with better quality. It is a revelatory experience that breathes new life into the game.
I don't want backwards comparability. I want a full proper remaster even though I own all the games. I'd still prefer to pay to play them all with bet...

And I've read the first book after playing the metro games. Very little in common aside from the basic premise of the first game with hunter and polis being the ultimate destination, though in all, there's a big divergence between the novels and the games and so really, you can't pin it on "let's take this already written story and make it into a game". It's a different take on the setting and characters.
The Metro games are some of the finest e...
They're shooters and they tell much better stories and present themes more intelligently than Gears of War as a series ever has. These guys are saying that telling stories in shooters is limited, but it's not as limited as they're claiming. It just requires figuring out a way to do it. The games I mentioned are all shooters that disprove the statement that telling great stories in a shooter is "limited".
Spec Ops: The Line, Bioshock, the Metro series. It's clear these developers are just making excuses for why they can't tell a great story.
It's not rushing reviews...it's called reviewers get games early and there is an agreed upon embargo date when people can post reviews to give everyone equal chances and just so happens in this day and age that day 1 patches are a thing that happens and it's just something that can't be accounted for with reviews.
There's nothing wrong with having sad or depressing endings???? Games that are able to make players feel negative emotions like sadness are worthwhile emotional experiences. Shadow of The Colossus and Final Fantasy Type 0 both have endings that are far from happy, but they were emotionally impactful and because of that weight, those games will stick in my mind longer than games with the stereotypical "everything is happy and resolved and good". That's too convenient and not ...
you've never played Final Fantasy Type 0 then. That ending was a real tear jerker.
Okay. Those games look good by WiiU and PS3/Xbox 360 standards. Like, going by that generation of hardware, they're good looking games. So is Pikmin 3, but if the WiiU wasnt underpowered and roughly equal to ps4/Xbox one, they could be significantly better looking games than they are now. It's also easier to make a game look "good" when you have a stylized look which almost gives you a free pass for having lower resolution textures and simpler geometry and lower polygon coun...
*sigh* if they cared about visuals, they wouldn't have released the WiiU in 2012 with such horrid hardware that was far outdated before it even launched officially and became even worse so when the ps4 and Xbox one launched JUST a year later.
1080p 60fps are just numbers. Smash Bros runs at that but it's far from an impressive looking game by ps4/Xbox one standards. The point is that visuals are clearly not an important thing to nintendo. If they were, nintendo wouldn't have launched a console 7 years after Xbox 360 and 6 years after PS3 with only a slightly better GPU and a worse CPU. Nintendo doesn't care about visuals. Look at the awful resolution of the 3ds screen that's still only roughly the same resolution ...
No? It's because nintendo usually runs underpowered hardware and their mantra usually never involves visuals as a talking point or selling point and therefore they never show footage that is unattainable for their hardware???
They don't care about graphics and so they won't care enough to show footage that looks better than the final release.
Does this game have online multiplayer or is it local only?
I was just about to comment that until I saw this. Everyone in here arguing about graphics downgrades and stuff, but I'm more put off by the awful writing in the article than any of the graphics downgrades.
....15 fps drop during a boss fight and fairly regular dips below 30fps is nitpicking? Really?
Hell, even just WATCHING this video, I can notice frame pacing issues and framerate drops just with my eyes. It is not fine at all.
Sorry. I forgot only one franchise existed on the ps2 :(
