A 7.5 means a game is good.
That’s not what they do. They’ve never done that. They compare the same game running across different sets of hardware and sometimes the evolution of tech across various entries of a franchise. Comparing unrelated game A to unrelated game B is not what they do.
They zoom in because of this thing you gamers maybe have never heard of that YouTube is notorious for. Compression. Degradation. Loss of quality of the source file. They haven’t said anything about pro or X yet so I’m waiting. Regardless, I’ll get it on Xbox because if it’s not enhanced at all, it’ll run at 1080p on both and the One X forces 16x AF on non-enhanced titles. That’s something the pro won’t do, so whether it’s enhanced or not, I’m getting it on Xbox.
This HD port job definitely isn’t costing Sega several more millions. It’s not “very late damage control”.
This collection is a “oh we have shenmue 3 coming and it’s been almost 20 years since the last game??? I bet there’s a huge audience of people out there that haven’t played 1 and 2 and won’t get 3 because of that. We better release it on current gen hardware to get audiences up to speed on the story before Shenmue 3”
It would take next to no effort. When you hear about how many developers get a game up and running at 4K on Xbox One X in a matter of hours like a Forza Horizon 3.
This is just an HD collection of Dreamcast era titles. They are not rebuilding every asset from scratch. It still looks like it belongs from its generation. Native 4K on PS4 pro and Xbox One X would take little time and wouldn’t stress the machines at all.

It’s a good action game. It has better combat than Enslaved and Heavenly Sword by the same studio.
8 was butchered. Cleavage covered up. Cutscenes and dialogue altered heavily. Some scenes of even just characters acting mean were babied up so they acted less mean. The 3DS port is a censored mess that I refuse to ever pay money for and give anybody involved in that butchered mess any compensation for their botched effort.
The Dragon Quest 8 port to 3DS was heavily censored and is the only reason I haven’t bought it.
I’d say 10TFLOPS is way too conservative of an estimate for true next gen. I mean, think about it. If we go from like 1.84 TFLOPS on the base ps4 to 6 TFLOPS on the Xbox One X, a MID-GEN console, that’s not even 5 full aTFLOPS more. You really think we’d ONLY get 10TFLOPS for true next gen? I highly doubt it. 12 is likely the bare minimum they’d shoot for, though I still hope for more

Metacritic is not a barometer of a game’s quality. Think for yourself. I think Bioshock Infinite was a disappointing game that’s worth no higher than a 7 yet that game’s metacritic is 94.
You shouldn’t have to actively seek out a specific and finite enemy type just to get a challenge. I like the game a lot, but its lack of difficulty really is the biggest issue with it.
If you had watched the video before commenting you would know the reason ps4 pro has the debatably better image quality is despite the current 1800p resolution versus the One X’s native 4K resolution, the One X also adds a different form of AA that blurs the image to smooth over jagged edges
