@bigmalky...
I got a review code from Eidos Montreal and finished it Sunday.
@FunAndGun
People are putting old Tomb Raider on a pedestal as if it ever had good storytelling. It didn't. It was never Tmb Raider's strength, but Shadow more than any TR game before it, approaches competent writing and characterization.
@Jesus
Yes, I did. I reviewed it. I can safely say it's the best Tomb Raider story.
@monkey...as if old Tomb Raider games had strong storytelling....right.
It’s really not. I tuned out at the criticism of its narrative. While it’s not the best in the industry, it has the best writing and characterization of the entire rebooted trilogy.
The story is the best of the rebooted trilogy. It has the strongest writing with the deepest consideration for Lara’s selfish drive and how it impacts not only those around her, but her own perception of herself as a person.
Why do they look like blurs? What platform are you playing on?
You can have a fighting game that’s accessible and still has depth for higher level players. *cough* dead or alive 5 last round cough*
This is a fan-service fighting game. You review games based on what they are, what their target audience is, and how well it achieves what it sets out to do.
As a fighting game, it sucks because it’s so simple it’s mindnumbing. It also sucks as a fan-service game because there aren’t enough girls, each girl only gets 3 cos...
So a low score mostly because of fan-service? TRIGGERED. Funny because I gave it a lower score for how simplistic the fighting is and how basic the fan-service is. With such horrible gameplay, I expected good fan-service at the very least and it doesn't even have that.
Someone bitter that an amazing game came out of a company that trash-talked how difficult it was to develop for your precious console that you owe your dear life to??? How sad. First world problems.
I pay for both so I don’t care. I own a pro and an Xbox One X so I’ll be playing the beta on Xbox for the better looking version. May try out the PS4 beta just to see the comparison first hand as I’ve done in the past with some other games like the Metal Gear Survive beta
So says Mr. Stewart
Have you not seen Honoka? Especially in Xtreme 3 and Venus Vacation??
Oh so you’re one of those try-hards that needs to be “good” from day 1 of a fighting game’s launch. I played the original release of DOA 5 in 2012 very briefly, abandoning it after a handful of weeks.
Fast forward to the 2015 Last Round iteration and I jumped back on it and pumped over 700 hours into it, having tons of fun, despite being 3 years late to the competitive scene for 5. Still wasn’t losing every fight and gradually got good enough to the point that I could have...
That’s because it is ugly. It’s just the original games at 1080p with ZERO touched up assets. Nothing was improved visually beyond resolution.
How? It’s interesting seeing a game run on hardware it wasn’t meant to run. It’s not the kind of experience you’ll want to play for fun, but it’s interesting for people that find Tech interesting.
Pre-orders placed before the 28th still get the discount
$80.
When people don’t read the articles they comment on
If there was ever an article in existence that ever made me want to completely dissociate from the industry, it’s this garbage right here. IT’S JUST A MINDLESS KILLING DEMONS GAME FOR FUN. HAVE FUN. STOP FINDING REASON TO BE OFFENDED BY EVERYTHING
Ass also fatter.
