It’s releasing next gen and they don’t want the general public to be disappointed by expecting it on current gen consoles after seeing gameplay. They’re holding off likely until Sony and Microsoft both officially unveil their next gen systems. Micorosoft already spoke at their conference that their engineering team is hard at work on the next systems so it’s getting about that time.
I guess being platform agnostic is not possible? I owned only a PS4 all generation up until the Xbox One X. Yes, I bought a PS4 pro when it came out also. And now that the X exists, all these multiplatform games will look better on my X. Yes, I’m hyped for The Last of Us Part 2. That looked beautiful, but I’m also hyped for Devil May Cry 5 and Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition and Control, and countless other multiplats that will look better on my X than my Pro.
It moves to third person for some dialogue and there’s a third person option while driving
It’s easily a next gen game
I did not edit my article at all??
@Foxtrot
Are you dense? I never edited anything in the article. What is posted now is how it was published and went live. I have not gone in and changed anything. I started the article with the positivity so no one could put words in my mouth because here’s a concept. You can acknowledge the positives of something while still finding it underwhelming. It’s not all black and white, my guy
I did not discredit what was shown. I begin the entire article by highlighting what impressed me, including shadow dropping black ops 3 as a bonus free PlayStation plus game. I’m not discrediting anything. You can find something underwhelming while still acknowledging its strong points.
It’s not pathetic? Defensive much? You know how the internet takes wordsmith out of people’s mouths. I STARTED WITH THAT so people would know that I’m not hating just to hate. It had good moments, but it was ultimately underwhelming in the grand scheme of things, especially compared to Microsoft’s. Underwhelming does not equal bad. Underwhelming means what it means. Just because it’s underhwleming, that doesn’t mean it had no redeeming qualities at all.
Fanboys are so defe...
Teased? They showed full blown gameplay and 2 trailers
So you were not impressed by the reveals of Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, Devil May Cry 5, Dying Light 2, the acquisition of Ninja Theory, Crackdown 3’s gameplay, the Captain Spirit free downloadable game, Sekiro gameplay, new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer, more Metri Exodus footage, the cup head dlc, Nier Automata coming to Xbox, Jump Force, Session, gears of War 5, and the list goes on??
If Itagaki was around, DOA 5 wouldn't be the legit fighter it is. Itagaki expressed disgust after DOA 5 because he would have kept the series more casual. He never wanted it be a competitive worthy tournament fighter.
Highly doubt it. They have their own engine. Soft Engine. Probably using the Soft Engine 2.0 that they first used in Xtreme 3.
I’ve wanted to play bulletstorm since its 2011 e3 gameplay demo. I owned both PS3 and Xbox 360. I could have gotten it. I ended up not getting it and playing for the first time until months after the current gen remaster. I also have wanted to play the Disgaea games since the 2000’s. I’ve owned a ps2, DS, and psp, all of which houses the franchise’s first entry, yet it won’t be until the PS4 and switch “complete” Remaster that I finally touch the series.
There’s a lot of ga...
As far as I’m aware, they haven’t specifically stated why games like that and Ecco the Dolphin are missing here
Except the pc version isn’t exactly a new release. It’s an old series of releases that’s been updated over time since 2016 on pc. The room hub, for example, was one of those earliest updates.
This console version is a new release that just came out Tuesday.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is NOT a beat ‘me up. It’s a fighting game. Don’t bother with this list.
I love cinematics as much as the next guy, but they’ve never been Gears of War’s strongest suit. It’s always excelled at gameplay. Few cover based shooters feel as good as the Gears of War series, especially as we got to the third game, with the cover system being further refined and additional weapons and enemy varieties.
If one of the selling points of the game is lifelike graphics, I don’t see the team downgrading their vision for switch.
Didn’t the list just have ridge racer on Vita? Because the Vita ridge racer was a dumpster fire at $40 with next to no cars or tracks. It was such an incomplete experience. As the article states, it felt more like a full priced demo than an actual game. Psp ridge racer had so much more to it.
Don’t mind the haters. They can’t accept that the base Xbox One already has 720p games like Battlefield 4, Hardline, and Mirror’s Edge. And routinely pulls in a lower resolution than the base PS4 for more demanding games. If it’s already ONLY 900p on standard PS4 and ONLY 1080p on PS4 pro, no way it’s hitting 900p on base Xbox One. Considering how poorly optimized this game is, 720p is a hopeful outcome for the base Xbox One.
