I think it was a perfectly fine response. We don't have robots making our games; these guys put a lot of work into them. You get an idiot who has no idea what he's talking about complaining about the graphics in a game that's not even out yet that you spent so much time on already? I'd have said worse.

I know, but I meant IMO they don't benefit much going from 720p to 1080p. If you watch an older movie on a HD channel that broadcasts on 720p, I don't see much difference between that and 1080p; whereas if you take a movie like Avatar, you can definitely tell a difference between the 720 version shown on tv and the 1080p bluray from a disc.

Have you EVER seen a competent developer make a game on the PC and console and then the console version looked BETTER than the PC version? No, so why is this any different? People need to stop looking for things to complain about, just for the sake of complaining.

Makes me wonder why I got a 1080p tv, because that's a premium over 1080i and 720p. Almost NOTHING is in native 1080p except bluray movies and a FEW games (mostly the downoadable variety). TV is in 1080i or 720, most and the best games are in 720 or lower, older bluray movies don't even NEED 1080p, because that's not going to help them out any over 1080i or 720p, etc.

It begs the question: for non-PC related stuff, why do people need to pay extra for a 1080p tv? ...

I agree with you, but I wish they had added more to each planet and made more planets explorable. I'm assuming that the reason you couldn't do much was because it was on the 360, and they wanted to keep it on one disk. Well, it's now on the PC and the ps3 at the same time as the 360, so they have no excuse not to add more content and more stuff to do. Who cares if it comes on 5 360 disks, if there's content to be added to make the exploring more fun, then they should do it.

Ooookay. So these guys hack anything and everything they an, stealing information left and right. So when a hacker group targets SEGA, of all companies, then they're like "them's fightin' words!" ?? Am I missing something? Can we just arrest them all and let them fight like the wussies they are, in jail? Then we can get someone to tape those fights and put them up on youtube to REALLY make them famous.

Well, here's hoping it's all fake and nothing was actually hacked. But if it's true and xbox live WAS hacked ... you will see the double standard that exists in gaming. No one will care that xbox live was hacked, MS will do nothing to make up for it (or just crap, if anything) and they won't get nearly the flak that Sony did. That's my opinion, let's see if it's true.

But let's also hope that this is B.S. I don't want my xbox live info bei...

You're joking right? Top the Witcher series? Does Bioware even have to do anything at all to ever NOT be considered the best in RPG's? Maybe you started playing video games recently, or you missed out on the heyday of Bioware's PC RPGs, but you statement, to be honest, is baloney (yes, bologna).

Bioware is the best company at making RPG's, and they'll stay that way until someone shows they can constantly deliver on quality games. The Witcher, to me, was i...

And what exactly do the whiners want them to do about it this time? It's one thing for some people to complain like little girls and they change their minds and release the physical warfare pack for free to everyone. I wish they hadn't, to be honest; just to see these whiners NOT get their way.

But what do you expect them to do this time? Hit a switch and say "sorry, that should fix it?" and magically make the ps3 version as good as the pc? People need to s...

Good to know. That's all I care about.

I agree with what 2K did here ... but boy, some of those reviews out there. It's like these guys are looking for ANYTHING to start up some controversy and they see this 14-year-in-development game and they say "here's what's going to get us hits." Bashing bad reviews is one thing, but the guy is sorta right; bad scores are one thing, but people shouldn't be HATING on the game unless they're pissed it's taken this long, or duke nukem 3d screwed their wife, or ...

yeah, I think what people don't realize is Activision, Ubisoft, Valve, etc. all of these guys and more already do this. Stardock only sells on impulse, Valve only sells on Steam ...

EA mentioned during E3 they would do this. They just have to be competitive and they will get fans. They need to price their games like everyone else is, have sales (like their Facebook sales which kick ass) and they'll be fine.

Segregating? Do you mean splitting up Steam into Steam and Origin? What about D2D, Impulse, GoG, Gamersgate, etc.? I think the PC download market is segregated enough.

If you actually use it and hate it, fine. I've used it and I like it a bit better than the steam client ONLY because it doesn't need to be running in the background when you play single player games (unlike steam, using up lots of memory).

5409d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

Here's how I see it: I say let them do whatever they want. It's not affecting me, since I've bought things from the EA store before and I really like their download manager (better than the steam client in some ways, worse in others).

BUT ... if they want to keep getting my business, especially if they're selling their games exclusively from here on in, then they need to be competitive with their prices. If not, I'll just go to amazon or retail stores. If ...

Most of my EA titles are either from the EA store or actual retail stores. It might not be the popular opinion, but I also like their store (not really the store, but the EA download manager). Say what you want about EA, but they did make a good client in the EA download manager (or Origin, if they're calling it that now). One activation, unlimited installs, DOESN'T NEED TO BE RUNNING = happy me.

Ubisoft, EA, Activision ... there's others too. They all list their new titles for $60. It's the times, I guess. They see the extra money coming it and they're like "more please!"

Well, whoever you want to blame, just keep in mind that Bioware usually puts out arguably better quality games that any other developer out there. They have a stellar line up of games that goes back over a decade.

DA2, which I have not even played yet, can be said to be their only "disappointing" game (I won't say bad, because people say it sucks, then other people say it's their favorite game). Don't hold 1 game against them unless they make it a habit...

Would you be saying it would be better they didn't have any pre-order items if you were one of the people able to get the free stuff?

Then you would have another region of people who would complain because they can't get their free items.

I just don't get it; this is more complaining about a non-even than I have ever seen before. I mean, you're getting the free maps (4 FREE MAPS!) and people are complaining about 2 or 3 weapons in a game tha...

Wow, worst title ever. Reaching so hard, trying to get hits ...
Ok, I'll say this and it will piss more people off, but who cares. If people don't buy this game and boycott this game because of THIS, then good: I don't want you in the game when I'm playing it. That's all.

I don't know about Battlefield, because I never played those, but for Bad Company 2 I think they did a really good job. Even now, I can't go to my Assault and say that this gun is so much better than that; I still have a choice of 3 or so that I want to use.

I only recently picked the GOL as my favorite for my Recon, but every now and then I use others.

I think they did a fine job in BC2.
