I'd say Bad Company 2. Maybe it's because I have never played Battlefield 2, but this game (BC2) just felt so fresh and new to me that I can't stop playing it. No kill streaks, no "one man army," and team-based play makes it my favorite shooter in recent years (before that, it was Unreal Tournament 2004).

I'd like to disagree with you on that. Killzone 3 was NOT a perfect game. I didn't play the single player much (played a few levels, got bored, and left it) so that be better, but the multiplayer was, to put it kindly, dated. The graphics were the only area where the game excelled.

I kept hearing all this talk about how Killzone 3 was so much superior to Killzone 2 and all that; that the beta fixed and changed so many things for the better, that this game was going t...

Why, so Bioware can be bought up by Activision and get milked every year? You want to see a new Dragon Age and Mass Effect every single year?

Announcing the new Frostbite 3 on Battlefield 4. "You haven't seen anything yet."

Man I hope it's a new game, even though a Mirror's Edge 2 wouldn't be bad. I think it just goes to show how people will make fun of EA all the time, but they're one of the only ones left who will go out on a limb and publish unorthodox games or milk franchises year and year.

I'm just hoping this one will be really unique from the rest and turn out to be one of their classic franchises, like Crysis, Dead Space, Bioware titles, etc. I already like most of w...

I think it's funny how so many people took this seriously. The guy is just having some fun, making it seem like it will be a serious piece, but it's just for fun.

Having said that, I played the U3 beta, and while it has a lot of bugs that need to be fixed, I started getting pretty decent scores after about 5 matches. I didn't even do that recently in Uncharted 2, so whatever changes they made I liked. My one big complaint is that 2 player split screen is VERY har...

Why are you doing this to me? Look, I was already going to buy and play Uncharted 3. Now you want to tell me that it's going to be one of the best multiplayer games this year? Ok, so that means now that I have to split my time between Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, not to mention any PC mmo's, Crysis 2, etc. ...? Where am I going to find the time?

Wow, so much work into such a terrible comment. Truly uninformed and incorrect.

This is true. You would think that because B.O. has sold so much, it would be worthless right now; that's not true. These types of games retain their value for a long time and only NOW is starting to come down in price.

I agree with what was said. Also, mobile devices are constantly changing and updating. The people into those I don't think want to buy a new device every time theirs is outdated (which happens often). PC gaming is different, because there's so much variety. The people who play PC games EXPECT to have to upgrade their system, and are prepared for it.

But the random casual mobile game player gets an android phone and finds out later that it can't play so and so gam...

I agree with a lot of what was said, except one thing. We are seen as "dumb sheep" because, well, a lot of gamers are dumb sheep. It's true. I blame this on a few franchises (CoD, WoW, Guitar Hero (when it was around), and maybe Mario). World of Warcraft doesn't fit exactly with the rest, but because of it's popularity and peer-pressure effect ("all my friends are playing it") it goes in the list.

These games have changed the way that publishe...

I can kind of understand what you're saying, but why does that mean that you've had all you can take of it? Don't want those big $60 or $50 games, don't buy them. You're right, those daring and unorthodox type games are now $15 or $20 downloadable titles, or mini games. But that's not really a bad thing. If you don't see anything great about a new Uncharted, then that's fine, you either saved $60, or you can spend that money on a FEW smaller titles from indie d...

How can you be abused by overpriced DLC? You already have the game, there's almost NO dlc out there that will compete quality-wise with the main game. Don't like it? Don't even touch it.

The only abuse that might be happening is the CoD DLC effect. $15 for a map pack that you don't really want, and reviews will ALWAYS say they're good with high scores, then your friends get it and peer-pressure you into getting it. That's the only thing I can think of...

I don't think people understand what that means. CoD is milked, because it's almost the same each time, with a few changes (disregarding quality for sales). Halo is not be a milked series (except for the Halo wars ... yeah) but that doesn't necessarily make the games GOOD (I haven't liked a Halo since the first; boring stories and characters, boring single player). People who say that probably just don't like it, like a post said below. So I don't think it's a milk...

Death. Seriously. Don't start a new trilogy of games, just make an actual GOOD story (if that's possible with a faceless monotone character) and end it here. Make this one the "one to own" and people will remember it. Otherwise it'll just be #4, the one that was NOT made by Bungie, and gamers will forget and move on.

EDIT: also make it an actual 720p game with FULL screen on 2 player split screen. I hate how it doesn't use the full screen. Just lazy...

@metsb

They won't. 90% of MW or Black Ops players will not play it, and if they do it won't be for long. Why? -> There's no killstreaks. i.e. nothing to keep their A.D.D. fix going. Quality doesn't matter to that type of player, just fast-paced kills.

All this is going to do is give Gearbox false hope that any FUTURE Duke games might sell well on popularity alone. What I think happened was, this game was wanted for SO long, so people bought it just because of hype, and to get it out of their system. If another game is released using the Duke brand, and if it's anything like this game, then I think you'll see how bad a game can sell (I'm guessing in the 100k range or less).

What is wrong with you people? Why is everyone losing their mind? How could you EVER think the PC version would NOT be superior to the consoles? It's like people forgot 5 years or so of gaming, where when there's a multiplatform game that has a PC version ... the PC version is almost ALWAYS superior to the console versions. It's just the way it is. What, did people forget that all of a sudden? Why does it matter now when BF3 comes up?

And don't believe this, y...
