Yeah what you said.
One says Sold and one says Shipped. Those two are quite different.
from an actual video game NEWS (see I said NEWS not BLOG) source. Who wants to bet this will either take the rest of the day to get approved or it gets canned.
EDIT: Damn seems my bubbles been popping! From 9 to 7 in 2 days, guess the truth really bothers some folks. ;)
"I expect at least 50-100 to come up on n4g before the year is over....."
I envy you, the eternal optimist. I expect to see that many before the MONTH is over.
"And not too mention y2y sales dropped, not exactly good news for it's share holders."
Ummm... YoY sales have INCREASED not dropped. kthxbye
EDIT: Here's the link to the story with NPD reporting in. This is NA only and does not include Europe OR Japan which have also experienced increased sales.

Most of us do. Unfortunately N4G has recently turned into B4G (Blogs 4 Gamers). Another strange thing is that most, 95% of them, are all anti-PS3 and they get run through the approvals in record time.
Sony wants to see the PS3 profit! NEXT IN THE NEWS!
"Water is wet!"
Yet another Piece of Sh!t blog piece. YAY!! GHEY
Except for ONE statement, from the article:
"That, and the story is a load of clichéd sci-fi pap."
Um, killing aliens to save your race. Hmmm... Halo, Gears, Resistance, etc... Anyone see the humor in that statement? Any future shooter generally revolves around some type of alien threat. The only ones in recent memory that doesn't is Haze and Red Faction. Other than that it was a pretty fair overview of the game.
Yet another wonderfully unniformative opinion piece from a talking head looking for hits with his blog. Sad thing is if you read the article, yes I did click the link before bashing him, he even intimates that Sony will be closing or even selling off the Playstation division as well as others. Yes the author of the blog is a moron. Feel free to tell him so. Ooh and again this a blog submitted as news. YAY! GO N4G! GHEY
That the actual install base of the XBox 360 is closer to 26 million or so worldwide. So the gap would be more or less 5 - 6 million between the PS3 and XBox 360 sitting in homes. In any case the gap did get a little larger and the $199 price helped that along. 2009 will be an exciting year for gamers but in my opinion particularly PS3 owners with all the exclusives slated for 2009. We'll see how things pan out but don't be surprised if the PS3 closes the gap or matches the XBox 360 at ye...
Magna Carta: Tears of Blood? Seems to be the only thing I could find gaming related with that name attached to it.
but I have to say that Venetica and White Gold look like total crap. The character models in those screenshots are horrible. Cry On is also nyxed off the list as it appears to have been cancelled.
Home is actually progressing quite nicely. Far less lag since the removal of voice in public. Also some nice added touches to the square with movie ads playing on billboards. Every week or so things get changed up some and improved upon. I just can't wait until they start adding the new zones, in Home stores for RL merchandise (you know it's coming), trophy displays, etc...
They are "Secret" because there is nothing more satisfying than playing the "one up" game every now and then with your competition. It also builds some hype and interest as well. Lastly, there is this from the article:
"Amid a lack of high-quality exclusive titles for the PS3..."
Huh?
He says it like it is. Game journalists, most of them, have become nothing more than sensationalists and fanboys in their own rights. Instead of just reporting and reviewing they inject their own opinions and bias. Granted a review is an opinion but when a review for a XBox 360 game starts out "Resistance 2 has XYZ" or a PS3 game review starts out with "Gears of War 2 has XYZ" then how much water does the review actually hold? Same goes for all the anti-<insert cons...
The summation of the article:
The reason the XBox 360 will dominate in 2009 is two Halo related games, DLC, multiplats and a $199 price tag. In a word, no.
Undead Knights, FFXIII Agito and Gran Turismo should be coming to the PSP in late 2009 as well. All in all 2009 is solid for both the PSP and the PS3.
at all. Something about 28 million sold when in November they were at the 24+ million mark. I highly doubt that 3 to 4 million units went anywhere in one month even with Black Friday and the holiday season. Then again I could be wrong but the 24 million number was MS's own admission and no one elses.
that got canned this past year and this one survives?!
*facepalm*
