Another PS3 is failing article! What a shock!
/end sarcasm
Seriously these opinion pieces are getting real old really fast. The PS3 will be around for a LONG time. I also see the PS3 taking the crown from the 360 in the HD console market by its' fifth year. YoY sales have increased, costs have been reduced and a huge lineup of exclusives are being released as well. I just find it amazing that the folks that write these crap articles don't even look at the facts ...
FF VII, GoW:CoO, Patapon, Loco Roco, Twisted Metal, Killzone Liberation, GTA, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo, Untold Legends (either one), MGS: Portable Ops. Get those for starters! ;)
OK so I ain't the only one with this problem? Two DS and one DS lite and the hinges on the right side have broken on all of them. The units are still playable but I am glad to know it isn't just me or for that matter my kids that keep busting these things. As for the PSP I have 2 in the house an original launch unit and a PSP-2000 which is my daughters. Both are still working great with the PSP-1000 needing only a new battery a few months ago because of reduced battery life.
dig the whole chart except for ONE title, NFS:U. How did that make it into the top 10? Either it was just released or there is a serious drought of racing games.
If Square/Enix is the hot girl putting out for Microsoft all she has given them is a couple of STDs so far.
While price does dictate sales to an extent I believe the informed consumers that want Blu-Ray and HD gaming are going the PS3 route. An example would be one of my friends who said "I don't see the big deal about Blu-Ray". The next day he watched Batman: The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray for the first time at my house. He then went out and purchased a PS3 for its' Blu-Ray and got the added benefit of HD gaming. He proceeded to get Resistance 2 and LBP and now is raving about not only B...
Something other than the DS outsold the Wii!? Quick mark this on a calendar somewhere!
A positive PS3 article? My feet are getting cold... Hell must be freezing over.
The article is true and there were only 6 games to break the 1 million mark on the 360 throughout 2008 that's a sad commentary. I can name 5 PS3 exclusives that sold 1 million plus in 2008.
R2, M2, LBP, MGS4, and GT5:P
If you throw in the multiplats you have around ten 1 million+ sellers.
A PS3 article on CNET and it's garbage? What a surprise, not. The best part of the whole article was "Lack of Exclusive Games". Apparently the turd who wrote the article never bothered looking or researching anything and just blathered on a bit and published it to the site looking for hits. Chalk up another fail for CNET.
waiting for it to come to the US. That and MH 3 for the Wii.
as you think this comment is it is more than likely true. Remember when the Gamecube stopped selling well in the states? You could walk into any EB Games or (insert game store here) and see them piled high.
PS3 owners will be spared Secret Service. Cauldron, the guys that made Soldier of Fortune:Payback, are working on this masterpiece.
Pokemon is a far better game than Too Human. For that matter checkers is a far better game than Too Human.
This video didn't impress me too much. I was hoping to see gameplay and instead saw some canned CGI. Here's hoping the next video will actually show gameplay.
Just watched them take down a giant and it was cool. Looks like on larger foes you can actually target specific points to attack. All in all pretty neat looking.
I would love some good MMOs for the PS3. Looking forward to The Agency and DC Universe. Bring SW:ToR to the PS3 and I will be in heaven.
Casual gamers will feed the machine by buying the shovelware A.K.A. Horsez 2, Cooking Mama, etc... While the hardcore gamers buy the RPGs, FPS, Action Adventure, etc... New IPs will sell well if they are good plain and simple. LBP is already above 1 million units sold and selling strong. It will end up between 3mil and 3.5 mil units sold in total. For a new IP that is phenominal. All the while CoD 37, Resistance 6, Halo 15 and Gears 12 will sell like hotcakes as well. There is plenty of...
Another useless article from Gamedaily!
Like this is a bad thing? Being in beta indefinetly is really no big deal other than drastic changes happening to test out new ideas. To be quite honest I hope it does stay in beta for a while until Sony and friends find a happy medium that most people enjoy while using Home.
