Sony stock didn't drop dramatically and is still at 22.00 or so after the after hours trading. It should open today at 22.00 and close at about 22.35 or so once all the dust settles so it will go up. What is hurting Sony as well as other Japanese exporters is the Yen. The exchange rate needs to level off and get back to about $1 USD to 100 - 105 JPY before things get better, profitability wise.

Would be a lot easier if people knew what they were buying. Why would someone spend at a minimum $200 up to $400 on a non-jasper system if they knew that a RRoD would be more likely on it? I would think that Microsoft would at a minimum recall as much non-jasper stock, assuming the Jasper is the end all of RRoD issues, and immediately ship out Jasper units to replace them. Watched the video and there is some very compelling evidence in it. The parts where the units were on a steel level table on shock absorbing pads on a concrete floor as a control was the kicker for me. The XBox 360 still scratched discs in a control environment. The test in the "living room" situation without the shock proof floor, etc... showing the scratching was even more of a wow factor. Well Wine, Cedega and CrossOver have no problem with Steam. As a matter of fact there is a Linux native version of the Steam client in the works as well. Half Life 2, CS:S, etc.. all play fine. iTunes meh.. Amarok 2.0 will be your new best friend. Zune no problem hook it up and play the music through whatever player you want including Amarok. SE is marketing the hell out of FF XIII especially seeing how well Dissidia was received in Japan. Of all their products released Dissidia was the hottest title they had in a while. With Star Ocean coming and the cold to luke warm reception their other 360 RPGs received I can see why they are on FF overload. It's not to say that Star Ocean will be bad but they aren't counting on it as much as their FF series of games.

DC Universe looks excellent as does The Agency but the one I am looking most forward to is Free Realms. It is an MMO that my whole family can play and enjoy which is why it is that much more appealing to me ATM. Although of the others coming it is going to be interesting to see which one I prefer. I like superheros but I also dig the whole concept of The Agency as well.
Not so much WoW that is killing off AoC but AoC that's doing it to itself. I don't care whether they released it to remind folks of the value of the PS3 or just to one up MS. In any case the PS3 has arguably been the best tech purchase I have made in that past 2 years with my Dell Mini 9 running Ubuntu coming very close. The amount of features and the quality are excellent not to mention the cell processor which is a fun and refreshing change to code for.
