The only question I have is if the downloadable Xbox games will have achievements??
Because I own a video game store, I get to see the buying habbits of my customers first hand. I see a lot of people (that can’t even afford to buy themselves lunch) owning a Playstation 3 systems. Many bought the systems with their tax returns. Why did these people invest in a Playstation 3? I guess to show their other poor friends that they have some class. It’s these same people that come into my shop to buy budget titles for PS2. These same people aren’t likely to have the internet. So you...
One can conclude a number of things that might explain the poor attachment rate for Playstation 3.
-A good percentage of users actually bought the Playstation 3 as a cheap Blu-Ray player and don't buy PS3 games what so ever.
-The Larger percentage of Playstation 3 owners also own a DS, Wii, PSP or Xbox 360 and find the software for those platforms more compelling to purchase.
-Playstation 3 market is made up of 15 year olds that can't afford to buy...
Who put that crap in your head. However many Wii's Nintendo puts out will sell out. At no point in time has anyone claimed that Halo 3 would stop the Wii. No one (except you I guess) would make such a stupid claim.
Fantastic visuals and animation. Intended for the adult audience that makes up the majority of the Xbox 360's market. Defiantly Not for the 13 years olds that plague this site.
What does my comment have to do with Xbox 360? While we are at it, why not compare the sales of the Super Nintendo to PSP?
It's not like I just made this up. The technical issues of the Playstation 2 have been well documented over the years. You act as though I just insulted your boyfriend.
I played the Tomb Raiders on Playstation and Dreamcast in addition to the last two that came out on Xbox 360. I avoided Angel of Darkness (although I actually own it). One of these days, I'll put it in and find out why it's such a bad game.
Yeah, Sony has sold 120 million Playstation 2 systems but I would say that 2/3rds of those systems are not working. The average consumer doesn't know that if they open their system and clean the dust off the laser, it will start reading again. And of course, there are a large percentage of systems that just won't read disc's no matter what you do.
As long as their are people in this world that don't take care of their electronic equipment, there will be room to sell more PS2's...
Call of Duty 4 will sell about 1.2 million units on the Xbox 360 and 400k on the Playstation 3 in the first month.
That same thought crossed my mind too. Sony's plugged the Playstation 3 as backwardly compatible for such a long time and only gamers are aware that the new systems are gimped.
I personally can't stand Sony because of their arrogance. I can't stand their fans. This site is virtually worthless because of a few over Zealous Sony Fan boys that have an agenda.
Stupid article! There are plenty of Original IP's coming out of Japan from 3rd parties. Many which are high budget. For example: The Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, White Knight Story, Trusty Bell (Eternal Sonata),ASH, Cry One, Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War, Nobi Nobi Boy, etc... Those are just a few that I came up with off the top of my head but I'm sure if I looked into it further, I'd come up with many more.
Virtua fighter 5 on both systems only supports 720p at its highest.
It looks as though they changed it. I'm not sure what happened.
Heavenly Sword was used as a Pack-In in Europe and it counts as units sold. It doesn't mean that the consumer actually went out and purchased HS.
If you follow the charts, next week R&C will likely sell about 40k - 50k. However it should sell about 300k total. Although Heavenly Sword only ended up selling 220k units to date.
VGCHARTS' EU hardware sales is payed by Sony to make up these numbers. I'm just joking.
Capcom made a sound business decision to bring the Monster Hunter series to the Wii. It isn't as profitable to bring original IP's to the PS3 as it would be for the Wii or Xbox 360. If you are a fan of Capcom, buy their products no matter what console they chose to put their properties on.
Those users that made the PS3 their system of choice did so knowing the current state of the PS3 market. So don't act hurt or say stupid things when this type of news hits. You all know bett...
I didn't know much about the game to care
