GuCCi512, I didn't know that you could do that by holding down the the power button. I did go through the manual and failed to find that piece of information. That is part of the problem with Playstation 3, I shouldn't have to bleed to enjoy it. For video and sound setting and any other kind of setting, there are a hundred million options. The interface isn't friendly in the least.

I do actually respect your opinion and that would be because you have a basis for your opinion. My basis is that I get to play all new games as soon as they come out for whatever system I want. I usually try them all out. For myself, I've usually played an Xbox 360 demo or game far before I've ever get to play a Playstation 3 version of the same game; simply because Xbox 360 usually gets their Multi-platform games first. It's true, Sony made one mistake but that mistake wasn't timing, it was the price point. If they had just released it with a DVD drive instead of the Blu-Ray drive, it would have likely been price originally at $299 to $399 and Sony would be Market Leader.
I only payed $300 for my Playstation 3 and it isn't worth that to me. Because I own a game store, I'm surrounded by gamers on a daily basis. I don't know a single gamer (that owns all three consoles) thats happy with their Playstation 3. The only people happy with PS3 are those that only have a playstation 3 and thats because they don't know why it sucks. They have nothing to compare it too.
I too have had my fair share of Problems. My original Xbox 360 (which was a launch system) finally gave out yesterday. I'd say it was a good run because it's on 5-9 hours a day at my shop. I do have my Halo Xbox 360 as a back up. As for my Playstation 3, although I rarely play it, it does seem durable. I can't see it breaking down anytime soon. I was shocked to see the sales figures for the GameCube recently. It really had so much going for it. Although the hardware wasn't as good as the Xbox, it was way better than the Playstation 2. It also had Nintendo's first party franchises in addition to Resident Evil (as an Exclusive) for a period. But I guess that someone has to come in Third.
Although I'm backed up on games. The visuals are too pretty. Guess I'll have to pick up a copy tomorrow.
With the release of this new SKU, it would be a good idea if they changed the color of the PS3. I think it would make for an attractive purchase. I think I'd opt for Silver.
Maybe they can recycle some of those Ideas for BioShock 2.
So, if you buy a Blu-Ray movie, than you can download a file on to your PSP allowing you to watch the movie on the go? Well, that sounds good to me. I've never bought a Blu-Ray movie but if that feature is added, than it may be time to convert over. Based on the comment, it doesn't appear that it has any kind of priority though. Since it is a Blog, I do wonder about the credibility of the source.

The complexity of the Playstation 3 hardware has been well documented. Although I can't say that making an Xbox 360 game is easy, it's much easier than making a Playstation 3 game. Playstation 3 games can do better graphics than Xbox 360 with longer development time (which means a much higher budget). This leaves two option for Developters, delay Playstation 3 versions of their game or release them at the sametime but doing this usually amounts to an inferior Playstation 3 version.

It doesn't matter. Each console has their merits. I'm sure Playstation 3 owners are happy with their version as are Xbox 360 owners. And heck, this is EA we are talking about. It not as though they have a great track record.
I remember when Xbox Live first introduced Movies and TV shows, I thought that it would never fly but Months later, I found myself purchasing TV shows and other media content. I've wondered why it is Sony's been so Late adding these kinds of features to the PSN. They own so many Entertainment properties. Its been nearly a year. Sony is an Entertainment Giant, I think they can do better than what they've done thus far.
If the Playstation 3 died, than guess what! You'd still get Final Fantasy and Metal Gear because they are created by third Parties. Nearly all of the titles that Playstation Fanboys uses as a battle cry were made by Third parties and not Sony.
However Microsoft needs competition as does Sony. I too would be unhappy if the market only had Nintendo and Microsoft. Without Competition, we wouldn't see price drops or get Spectacular 1st party games.
The Sega CD was a 16-bit ad on to the Sega Genesis as well as the 32x. Both assessories/add-on's where intended to extend the life of the Genesis. My comparison is between the Sega Saturn, Playstation and N64.
However it's true that Sega tarnished their brand by the Saturn and Dreamcast era. The negative press and media is doing a good job tarnishing Sony's name at the moment. Sega was also in the red for years. Could that be the fate of Sony? I don't think so but I personally ...
