I bought the Xbox 360 version and have been playing it for 2 days now. I had a friend bring by his PS3 version so that we could compare them. There's no difference what so ever. The load time isn't better on PS3, nor are the colors or visuals. They are the same. The only difference is that the PS3 has no rumble and that it took 20 minutes to install and took up 5 gigs (which I later deleted off my PS3).
Elites and Halo Edition 360 come with a charger pack. A large number of 360 owners have that as a standard. Most Xbox 360 owners pay the $19.95 for the charger pack. It's not big deal. It works fantastic. You can even recharge your controller while the system is off (unlike other systems).
The Logic of the Playstation controller is questionable. Though an entire generation of kids grew up only using a Playstation controller doesn't make them good. First off, from day one, the digital pad on Sony Brand Playstation controllers has always sucked. On a Playstation controller, your thumb rests on the Digital pad. That was fine and dandy during the Playstation one era when most of the games primarily used the digital pad. However, this past generation and the current generation, 99% ...
It's very simple, Activision is publishing Devil May Cry 4 in other Territories and in those territories, the demo will be released on Feb 1st. Comprendo?
Although there aren't many Playstation 3 games on the chart, I still find myself impressed that Call of Duty 4 on PS3 sold a million copies. It took Resistance Fall of Man more than a year to sell a million. I didn't think it would be possible for Metal Gear Solid 4 to sell a million copies but Konami may just hit their mark.
I'm sure that PS3 owners will be able to download Yoda and Xbox 360 owners will be able to download Darth Vader. All of course for a small fee.
Sony's been giving Motorstorm away, just as Microsoft has with Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. The contributor "smart_head" must be a desperate PS3 Fanboy that is try to plug the PS3 software sales. The truth is that a rehashed game like Lego Star Wars the complete Saga on the Xbox 360 out sold most high profile Playstation 3 titles.
@DarkSniper
"Thank you Sony for recognizing a complete gem in the underrated Sega Saturn Console. It takes true class to obliterate a console and then have it's very best exclusives from that time appear only on a Sony machine. In the future, look for Halo 3, Bioshock, Gears of War and Mass Effect to appear only on the PLAYSTATION 3®.
Reasons like these is why Dark Sniper assures you that Playstation is the video game juggernaut."
Why would ...
@PirateThom
Or how about this: If it wasn't for Sony, we'd still be playing on a SEGA. The success of the Playstation 2 was the death nail in the Dreamcast's coffin.
Hardware is only a tool for bringing innovative software. As for the Wii, it's up to developers to make use of that hardware.
Metal Gear and Final Fantasy were birthed on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Grand Theft Auto was birthed on the PC. Resident Evil has always been a multi platform game (it came out on the Sega Saturn as well). All the titles you've mentioned came from third parties. Sony didn't bring you any of the franchises you've mentioned. If the Playstation never existed, guess what? We would have still gotten all of those great games because.... Why??? Sony didn't make them. Umm.... I think Guitar H...
It's not categorized as news, it's an article.
In case you forgot to read, this is an extended interview published today on Gamasutra. Meaning that there is more content than the link you posted.
It's always been my thoughts that Nintendo has been fearful of opening new manufacturing plants for Wii. I don't think they believed in their own system. You hit the nail on the head.
Nope, I'm not lame at games, I'm just not going to waste my time on a game as lame as MotorStorm. If you're a Playstation 3 owner, its probably one of the best games on that system.
For the money I've invested in state of the art equipment, I will play this when I can find it for $14.95. I wouldn't rule it out as a game I might enjoy. I just won't enjoy it at it's current retail price.
To anyone that knows good games, knows MOTORSTORM is crap. 2 minutes of gameplay, 15 minutes of watching yourself crash in slow motion per race.
My post was geared towards those that have both system. Anyone that has an Xbox 360 know how much more life Achievement points give a game.
I can't tell a difference what so ever between the two version. I think rumble is going to make a difference in how the game feels. One can buy a $50 dual shock 3 by the time this game comes out. As for myself, I think I'll just save my money and get a 360 version. Plus, Achievements will give the game more replay value on 360. So if you have both a PS3 and Xbox 360, I couldn't see any reason to buy the Playstation 3 version.
Xbox 360 sells to more educated individuals and likely has a demographic of consumers with higher IQ's than Playstation 3 users. Xbox 360 users likely have better paying jobs. Where as your average Playstation 3 users (likely in their teens to early 20's) would be the retard High School drop out that is working at Wal-Mart or Mc Donalds. If I were a gambling man, I'd say that the average Playstation 3 owner still lives at home with their mothers.
Most die hard or educated gamers know to own both an Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 or just an Xbox 360. America is the Largest market in the world. What happens in America carries over to Europe. In The United States, the Playstation 3 has sold less than 4 Million Systems. The bulk of 3rd Party (and Even 1st party) Software doesn't move or it doesn't move at the same rate as Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, DS, etc. In Japan the PS3 is only at 1.8 million units. That doesn't far well for the Rest of the worl...
