In all my years of gaming, have I never heard so much bickering about which system is better. I believe what it is, is that we have an entire generation of kids that grew up on the Playstation brand. With hundreds of thousands of Sony units sold equals a hell of a lot of brand loyalists.
Sony loyalists speak everything that Sony has taught them over the years. Where as users of other consoles speak more independently. The most common mistake I hear from Sony users is that Sony b...

DMC4 on Xbox 360 has surpassed the Playstation 3 version in sales. Look at the world wide sales of each. Devil May Cry 4 sold 780k on Xbox 360 and 770k on Playstation 3.
Xbox 360: United States 570k, Japan 60K, Europe 150k = 780K
Playstation 3: United States 340k, Japan 270k, Europe 160k = 770k
This article is based on subjective opinions.
After reading the title of the article, I expected to read that the Playstation 3 version smoked the Xbox 360. I was shocked to read that the 360 version was still better.
Clever
I don't think there's ever enough info released. However, the official announcement of Gears of Wars 2 is nice. I'm sure their will be more great announcements for Xbox 360 owners in 2008. There's still E3.
There are always ways to put spins on stories. As for myself, I've been looking forward to this game and I'll be buying it for my 360. Its as simple as that.
At N4G, I'm probably the only person that this news is relevant for.
Blu-Ray is still in its infancy. It's comparable to a 1 speed CD-Rom player. Many developers are finding different tricks to get past the slow speed of Blu-Ray. One trick is to duplicate the data over and over. However a sure fire way to cut down load time is to install data on the hard drive. Plus, it saves development time and money. In the future, as developers learn to develop on Playstation 3, I'm sure you'll see less and less games having to be installed. Until then, it's a necessary ev...
Meh... I was one of those lucky fellows that got a 20 gig Playstation 3 (in order to get it on day one). Though I haven't mention it on N4G, it's one of the reasons I usually get Xbox 360 versions of Multi-platform games. However, I do value full backward compatibility over a larger hard drive. In the future, should I need more space, it is possible to replace the hard drive with a larger one.
For now, I just delete content after I'm done with it.
I just mentioned that the supply of Playstation 3's are ample and that there was a shortage of 360's in another article and I got laughed at and called "hilarious".
BTW, New Mexico does have a population of over a million, so it doesn't exactly qualify for backwater.
I didn't say that the Playstation 3 isn't selling. I'm saying that supplies of the Playstation 3 are ample and that those consumers that are interested in a next generation system really only have one system to choose from right now and that is the Playstation 3. It's a fantastic opportunity for Sony because the Playstation 3 is continuing it's momentum from the Christmas Season. As for Microsoft, they are going to need to do something drastic to change the current trends.
@Smok...
There are stacks and stacks of Playstation 3's at Best Buy. I rarely see 360's. I haven't seen an Elite in months and the Pro System is very hard to come across. When I do see a system, it's one or two of the Arcade addition of the Xbox 360. Maybe Microsoft is starving the market because they are gearing up for something. For what? I don't know, maybe a price drop. Or printing up Units that don't include Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Forza 2. What I can say is that there's a large volume of PS...
With the exception of Devil May Cry 4,none of those games have been released and they will be released at the same time as Xbox 360. They certainly can't be handed down if they are released as the same time. However if you are referring to the franchises starting life on a Playstation system, you are only halfway right. Because most of you Playstation fans aren't real gamers and have no clue as to the origins of the games made popular by Playstation. I'll educate you. Grand Theft Auto started...
Though this was mentioned last year that Ace Combat 6 was a timed exclusive, it should be no surprise that the Playstation 3 gets another Xbox 360 hand me down.
I said that in the end that 95% of the Playstation 3's game library are on Xbox 360. Meaning that you can go to the store right now and count the 5 games that aren't on Xbox 360.
As for Lost Odyssey, Any JRPG that comes out only a few months after its Japanese Release is a Miracle. Square Enix usually released their western renditions of their JRPG years after they've been released in Japan.
rofldings, how are games not carried over to Europe? Europe is never first on the list, they are last. After America, After Japan, there's Europe. Who got Playstation 3 last? Europe is a pain in the ass for Developers because everything has to be localized in 6 different languages. Games are made with Japan or America in mind. Europe is always an after thought. It never surprises me when I hear that Europe finally got a game Americans got 3 years earlier.
With Xbox 360, European...
Just like with the Super Bowl, everyone in the United States was happy except those that were fans of the Patriots. This comic is funny as hell except to those that spent $60 on a Playstation 3 copy of Devil May Cry 4. This comic wasn't meant for you PS3 fans. It's for everyone else in the gaming community.
I agree that N64 users cried during that generation and they cried much. Now you don't hear much from Nintendo Brand Loyalists simply because the Wii is the #1 New Generation console in the world. However, Playstation Loyalists came off a 2 generation high and are behaving in the same manor as N64 users did back in the day. However, there are a hell of a lot of Sony/Playstation loyalists, much more than the N64 users back in the day and they are crying loud.
I have my PS2, PSP an...
