I'm a big WipeOut Fan and figured I'd buy Fatal Inertia because it kind of looked like Wipeout. I thought better of it and decided to download the Demo first. Good thing I did because It's a stinker. Koei would be better of spending the development time on another title because I don't think PS3 owners would even spending $3 to rent it. Plus, WipeOut HD is just around the corner.
So we have the Playstation 3 version of Assassin's Creed here and what makes it different than the Xbox 360 version. Lets see, it looks visually about the same except that the frame rate isn't as consistent as the Xbox 360 version. The controller has no feed back. The Playstation 3 version has a hellish amount of bugs, including the White Screen of Death and some nasty graphic glitches. If I were bias, than I wouldn't own a PSone, PSP, PS2 and a Playstation 3. I have more than 200 games for the Playstation Family. This is obviously a fake story by a PS3 Fanboy. You are correct about the procedures. Customer support will tell you 3 or 4 times to take off your Hard Drive and even the face plate. Microsoft sends you a box with a piece of paper letting you know to take off the hard drive and to only send the system. You can't fit the retail box or the power brick in the box they send you. They aren't fixing systems, they are replacing them.
Konami has a billion other franchises they could make and it seems as though all they are interested in making is Metal Gear games. Guess they are trying to milk it for what it is worth.

Since you have both systems, just return your PS3 version and exchange it for the Xbox 360 version. It shouldn't be a problem if you tell them the truth.

Frequently, I hear parents mistaking Playstations and PSP's, Nintendo and Gameboy. Playstation branding is strong amoung teens but Nintendo's brand is stronger with parents. Being a game store owner, I hear more often than not that People are saving up for an Xbox 360. Most often, $279 is just out of these customers price range. As for the Playstation 3 most people are waiting for something that interests them. Sorry but Metal Gear and Final Fantasy aren't on everyones list. So you are incorrect and have no basis.
Assassin's Creed is pretty fun for about the first 2 hours and then it becomes boring.... I don't think I'd recommend this game.

I've played both this morning and the Xbox 360 is a better version. Both have frame rate issues here and there but the Xbox 360 version has less of an issue than the PS3 version. The Xbox 360 version also seems to have better lighting. In addition, the Xbox 360 has rumble. We can't forget about Achievement points. As I mentioned in another post, get the Xbox 360 version if you have both systems.
They both look very similar but you could see some Graphic glitches in the back ground on the PS3 version, in addition too the frame rate shuttering. That could be fixed by putting it in 720p as opposed to 1080i or 1080p. I also noticed some V-Sync problems on the PS3. If you have both a Playstation 3 and an Xbox 360, the Xbox 360 version is the one to get. Especially since there are Achievement points to unlock.
The only thing Tomb Raider and Uncharted Share are the Jungle Like environments which can be described as Tomb Raideresk. Other than that, it's nothing like it. Uncharted is more action oriented.
