After playing the Xbox 360 version for nearly a full day, I finally had the opportunity to play the Playstation 3 version. It’s really hard to pinpoint differences. However, the PS3 version just looked blurrier to me. The default color on the 360 looked better, though I could adjust my HD-TV for the PS3. It just comes down to personal preference. I liked the sharper image of the 360 to the blurrier image of the PS3. Plus the 360 controller just felt better. I don’t have a dual shock 3.
I think those water glitches may be the video. You can see it on both PS3 and Xbox 360 as the game rotates.
I don't think no amount of preparation could prepare RockStar for todays events. Especially since they have to depend on GameSpy for their server on PS3.
Thus far, I haven't had any problems with the Xbox 360 version. I got online last night for a round and have yet to see the pop-in talked about on the internet.
If you are using this video to actually compare GTAIV, it may be deceptive. You may notice at the beginning of the video, as our anti-hero enters the club, it's at different times during the day. On the Xbox 360, the game looks darker. That may be because it's likely during the evening. You can see that all the shadows are leaning towards the left as though it's sun down.
In the same scene for Playstation 3, all the shadows are to the right as though it's early morning. Take this...

You can argue that Xbox users have to pay $50 a year for Xbox live. Those that would likely play online probably already have Xbox live.
You can say that Playstation 3 users have to pay $50 for a Dual Shock 3. Otherwise, they wouldn't have the full experience and for this game, it would seem that rumble would be important.
From other reviews I've read, they've said that there's no difference between the two versions (in terms of frame rate ...
Well, if you really want to see the true differences, buy both versions and compare them. Then on April 29th, come back and report to your findings.
I've never been A Gran Turismo fan but I do want to bring up this point, I remember buying Sega Rally for the Saturn. It had 2 cars and 3 tracks. It was the same with many other arcade ports. Daytona only had one car and 4 tracks. 70 cars and 6 tracks isn't a bad deal.
Kojima complains about the graphic; however it's the game play that really matters. And he seems convinced that the game play is what he envisioned. I think that is the important factor.
I bought the original Xbox 360 version of Monster Madness at Circuit City for $7.95. After playing it, I don't feel it was even worth eight dollars.
Back in the early twentieth century to the 1950's, movie makers used Italians or other ethnic groups to play Indian Americans. White people sometimes played Black people. They simply painted their faces. It would seem to me that if the game were to be held in Africa and there weren't any Black people; wouldn't that be more racist? If we hear enough crying about this issue, Capcom may take them out. I think it would be more of a dis-service for the Black community.
I wouldn't believe it until something official is announced. That's some kidder garden like photoshop work.
How did Eidos get the rights to it? Gauntlet is a Midway IP.
I hope Ikaruga comes out this week. Next, we need Radiant Silvergun. How about it Treasure?
I enjoyed the JRPG's you've mentioned. Maybe you can tell us a little bit about what you didn't like in these games? I enjoyed the battle system in Eternal Sonata and loved the Graphic. I also felt the story was original in Eternal Sonata. I thought of Lost Odyssey as a very traditional JRPG; however it had fantastic story development. If Hironobu Sakaguchi hadn't left Square Enix, it would have likely been the next Final Fantasy. If you enjoyed Chrono Trigger, you'd probably like Blue Dragon...
Without this rumor, I can already tell you that there will be a Grand Theft Auto V and VI and VII. Why talk about it now? GTA IV isn't even out!
I Loved Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube. I own the Wii version but it's hard for me to look at the low resolution graphics on my 1080p Samsung LCD. I'd pay $39.95 for a High Res version that ran at 60 fps.
No! Wait! I have a winner check out this baby:

Miss information is often leaked on to the internet. However, should these rumors be fake, the industry should take note. Halo 3 and PGR 4 would be fantastic Pack-In's for the Xbox 360 and would help shift systems. MicroSoft as already made their money back over and over on these titles. Plus it cost them penny's to print up the actual disc's. Brinking GTA to the DS would bring $$$ to Take Two. Even if it's a down graded version of GTAIV and it would please DS owners that are also GTA fans.

There are two things that you aren't recognizing, the helicopter scene you mention is happening at different times during the day. The PS3 version is closer to the evening, thus the color difference and water glistens. The water glistens just as well during the same time during the day. You can even see it glistening during that time of day but the picture is cropped for the side by side. So you can't see it on 360.
