I hope the voice acting gets fixed.
It's still hard to gauge how Metal Gear Solid 4 may sell. You are likely right about PS3 having mostly Hardcore users. However, I bought Metal Gear Solid 2 casually because there wasn't much on Playstation 2 at the time. I'm not a fan and will likely borrow MGS4 from a friend at some point in time. When I had my shop, many customers bought Metal Gear Solid 2 casually (used).
I known many of my customers to have boughten a Playstation 3 casually because they think it's the best. ...
It's hard to predict if Metal Gear Solid 4 will do better than GTAIV. Most people I know bought a PS3 specifically for Metal Gear Solid IV. I wouldn't be surprised if it did sell better but than again, GTA San Andreas sold 17 million units on Playstation 2.
I was hoping Ninja Gaiden II would have done better than 173k but the 360 has long legs. It will sell, 80k next week and 40k the week after that and 20k after that. It should eventually hit about 500k in the USA. and probably a total of 200k to 300k over seas.
@Bladestar
I notice you have extra bubbles. For some reason I have extra bubbles too. I'm used to operating off of 3 bubbles or so. Though I own all systems and consider myself a non-fanboy; Playstation 3 fanboys never like what I say and always take away my bubbles. What's going on here?
Final Fantasy games aren't like a Resident Evil or Metal Gear game where the story continues. Each Final Fantasy stands on it's own. So you can't really make a Final Fantasy in the spirit of the series. Final Fantasy XII hardly resembled a Final Fantasy game in story or game play. To me, a real Final Fantasy would entail the real creator. My point being that what I define as "THE REAL DEAL" and what you define are different. Can you see the other side of that coin?
I'm not sure what you mean by "THE REAL DEAL." Final Fantasy was created and worked on by Hironobu Sakaguchi until Part 10. If Final Fantasy XIII was being worked on by it's original creator, I'd say it's the real deal. However there's isn't much that ties one Final Fantasy to another; usually just Chocobo's and a guy named Cid.
For all we know, Square Enix could have called Last Remnant, Final Fantasy XIII. Hironobu Sakaguchi was the heart of the Final Fantasy series. ...
Lost Odyssey sold 700k units world wide, so JRPGs do sell on Xbox 360. My point is that so many people try to put negative spins on good news. This announcement is nothing but good news for Xbox 360 owners. The original Xbox got Zero JRPGs (unless you consider Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 and 2). Anyone that enjoys JRPGs and has an Xbox 360 is well taken care of and most importantly, they have dates.
There is no reason for the Xbox 360 to get JRPGs. It's doing terrible in Japan. Any kind of news related to Xbox 360 getting JRPGs is good news. I'd also wait until the games are out before I make judgment on them.
Look, I don't agree with the article. However, it's silly to praise a game that's not even out (for those of you declaring Kill Zone 2 as the best visuals on a Next Gen System). It's not due until next year. Why don't you wait unit it's out before you start bragging. It might turn out to be the next Haze.
Lost Odyssey when on to sell 700k world wide and that isn't a bad telly.
I love Zombie games. Hadn't heard of this one. The pictures look good. I hope it has good game play.
My Samsung has the 120HZ Automotion technology and it's nice. It makes most games look as though they are running at 60 fps (As long as they run at 30fps native).
I want all of them for digital Download.
BTW, the link takes me to a Commandos 3 trailer. I can't find the poll.
If someone gave me a copy, I might spend the time to play it but not likely.
@Silogon
The franchise isn't what it was, that a given. There are still gamers like myself that enjoy a Tomb Raider game every 2 years or so.
Well, I myself am ready for a PSP2.
@Maverick
I know that most Playstation 3 fans on this site have an inferiority complex. It's obvious by the lengths you guys go through to make Playstation 3 look good and Xbox 360 bad.
One guy mentioned hacking Eurogamer yesterday and you've suggested sabotage it. Are you guys that desperate? When Ninja Gaiden II gets an 8+ rating, it's a flop. When Metal Gear Solid 4 gets and 8, Microsoft paid the reviewer for the poor rating.
Some of you Playstation ...
I want Zombies, not these "The Thing"/"Silent Hill" style mutants. Though I loved RE4, the lack of zombies was my only complaint.
Oh well, I know I'll love RE5. I just wish Capcom would stop with that stupid mutant crap.
Infinite Indiscovery was pitched before Playstation 3 development system were out and is part of the reason why it was birthed on Xbox 360. It's because of this, that Star Ocean 4 may have been developed on Xbox 360 as well, simply because they had development systems and experience.
News from Last year:
"Tri-Ace has posted a job recruitment ad in Japan to look for designers, game planners and programmers for two new titles, one is a new fantasy RPG, the other o...
