if for no other reason, just to prove that if you drop the price of anything the sales will spike. It would allow the 360 to overtake the PS3 sales in north America, remove the bad taste of the warantee extension, and set up the console nicely for a sales boom following the halo 3 launch.
I don't want to get my hopes up, but typically having a leaflet like this appear means it is coming in the next few weeks. I don't recall a leaked leaflet ever not resulting in a price cut.
That being said, even if they cut the price in America, there's no way of telling if it will be cut in England too. Lately it seems Microsoft have completely forgotten we exist. Which is unfair given that we're one of the "European" countries where the 360 still outsells the PS3. ...
I REALLY doubt it. They haven't even made a DVD Wii yet, I don't see why they would jump straight to Bluray. Plus, why would they give up the strongest selling point of the Wii? The price. And can the Wii even handle 1080p output?
acceptable in Europe? Absolutely not. Here in England, direct racism is stomped out quite efficiently. Only problem is, sometimes the indirect racism gets out of hand.
I'm just as puzzled as to why the Mods didn't ban him as you are.
The title should be changed to say "shipped", so as not to contradict the article posted earlier that said 4.5 million.
1. The original xbox has been discontinued. Of course it's being outsold.
2. The Backwards compatability is currently around 60%
3. The 360 isn't being outsold by the PS3 in Europe.
Your fanatical rhetoric might gain the approval of the other fanboys, but it doesn't affect the opinions of the intelligent gamers.
Wherever you find large numbers of people congregating in one area, you'll find racism. As the online population of the Playstation network increases and encounters a wider market audience, you'll see it there too.
I find it sickening that anybody would suggest one particular console network attracts racists more than others. It's that kind of talk that spawns racism in the first place, believing it to be some distant evil that your social class is somehow immune to. Racism fl...
I'm not normally one to come to the defence of the PS3, but the fact that sales fell 60% from January doesn't mean much, the console sales are always higher near launch.
As far as pissing contests go, this one is just nonsense. Which console has the most hours logged per average user? What does that even mean? And the data for those kind of statistics would be far too corruptible.
And what does this mean???
"combined with Nielsen GamePlay Metrics' proprietary audio signature library that matches the unique audio signature of every game tracked on the six most widely available video game consoles"
So they ...
Seeing as Donkey Kong Country is a childhood favorite of mine, I couldn't agree more, but unfortunately when Microsoft bought Rare they couldn't get the rights to Donkey Kong, apparently Nintendo wanted that too much.
I'm pretty sure you're just being paranoid there Chava.
propaganda from sonyprotectiongroup.com.
If this were in a newspaper I wouldn't buy it.
I'd reccommend it, the last half in particular, really edge of the seat. I have to say though, final episode disappointed me.
This holiday? That's just wishful thinking. Both the Ps3 and 360 are predicted to increase in sales till christmas. It's highly unlikely that either one would significantly decline in under 5 months. It will probably take another year or so to see which one becomes the top seller.
read the rest of the sentence ash, I already answered that.
You think PS3 sales will continue to rise and 360 sales will continue to fall?
Your prediction is short sighted at best.
PS3 sales are being boosted by the price drop. The sales increase will eventually run out when the new price loses its novelty. I can't say when that will be, but i'd say it will stabilise around september. A single price drop wont cause an indefinite increase.
And september will have the Halo 3 launch as well as the release of t...
By that time there will be another console war though.
Amazing. It's like every time Dille speaks I add another three years to the "when I might buy a PS3" clock.
I beleive he was refering to the Xbox Live arcade, which is predominantly based on retro gaming for casual gamers. And the genius concluded it's "in the past".
The Marketplace is constantly updated with HD videos, trailers, and all the latest game demos, and when it launches over here, i'll be downloading HD movies too. It has on average a retro arcade ...
I kind of guessed as much, seeing as the icon had a memory card AND hard drive picture. You need at least a memory card to save games, and I can't really see a reason for needing 32mb of storage other than saving games.
you know, i'm not offering an opinion on this. This is fanboy territory now.
Although, I do have a question. Why are they offering such a "generous" bundle deal in Spain, which has the highest PS3 sales in Europe? Typically you give deals like this to countries where it's NOT selling. I'm going to assume it's the store that sanctioned the bundle, and not Sony. Because if it's Sony, that would be ridiculous.
