I really don't know what this author is on about. Sony and Microsoft both took the professional and informative approach required by the new E3, wheras Nintendo's conference had all the layout and pacing of a kid's tv show. Not that Nintendo's conference wasn't successful, but in order to consider Nintendo's conference vastly superior to the other two, you'd have to have a mental age of about 9, or have has half a gallon of sugar in your blood at the time.
Honestly, I have no idea how likely a price drop is. There are practically equal reasons for both a price drop and leaving it be.
Logically, if I were in their position, I would wait for Halo 3 to release and capitalise on the flood of console purchases, then lower the price a month later ready for the christmas period.

Snake_doctor, you're just clutching at straws there. Peter moore praising Killzone means it's a good game, it makes no suggestions as to how it compares to halo 3 whatsoever.
what exactly is there to compare? we have a trailer and a pre-alpha demonstration. Neither are going to prove which is the better game. It might hint at who has the better graphics. But who cares? Halo 3 doesn't need to have graphics like Killzone 2. The graphics on Halo 3 only need to be good to backup Halo's persistently great story and atmosphere. There were many games with better graphics than Halo 2 and halo 2 still outsold them.

agreed. For an unfinished game, the elements are looking quite nice. You can see the people paying attention to you more when you start acting odd, and with some tweaks to the hitbox that bumping will look quite smooth.

If this is based on pageviews, then I for one can attest that this is not a fair test. I stopped going to Kotaku last year because there are so few unbiased Xbox reporters there, and they keep cracking really lame English jokes. I think there was only two journalists I could trust for fair Xbox news there. Hardly surprising considering they're mostly based in Japan.

It might be expensive, sure, that's a given. But the Elites have the new heatsinks installed and are also covered for 3 years on hardware failures. I'd hardly say lasting is an issue.

I don't want to appear overly PC here, but isn't that title a bit offensive? I mean, if there really are gamers with dwarfism, the large guitar hero guitar really would be an issue.
