At risk of wasting my valuable time explaining something to a halfwit, the game was buggy because it's not finished, not because of DVD9 restrictions. If it looks like this on the 360 right now, it will behave similarly at the moment on the PS3.
I thought that would be an easy bubble kill, looks like someone beat me to it.

don't delude yourself. There wont be a buggy version of a game on one platform and a smooth version on another. That's just asinine.

Personally I find the odd bug acceptable in an early demonstration, and to be fair the basic elements are falling into place nicely. I think they may have been under pressure to demonstrate it at E3 despite possible protest.
But then i'm probably inclined to buy anything Jade Raymond is demonstrating.

well, i'm not sure if it's gameplay or not, but bear in mind that the Beta is the unfinished version, and also the multiplayer is always lower graphical quality than the singleplayer to reduce lag.

No Arkham, I don't think he does, genius. He's saying that would cost the same as buying a PS3.

it's 72% this week is it coolmatrix?
First 10%, then 25%, then 33%, now 72. At this rate by next week the fanboys will be saying it's 139%. Every study will give a different figure, because nobody will ever get a fair study. And the only way anyone will get any attention is by giving the highest figure, because it has more shock value. And people like you will keep quoting the highest figure because it makes you feel better.

I like that. "Mysteriously secretive and deadly red-ring of death"
Tomorrow's news headline: 'Red ring of death is actually a hypnotic pulse designed to brainwash public in preparation for Bill gates world takeover.'

Well, if they're going to write an article about the hardware failures every bloody day, I suppose it's natural for them to start using overexaggerations.

The Red quadrant failures are one thing, but I don't take disk scratching seriously. Launch consoles did it without being agitated, that I accept, but consider how many people did move their console, and after they found out some consoles did it without moving, they pretended they didn't move it.
Since then, Microsoft changed the disk drive, and unless you use your console as a frisbee, it just doesn't happen on consoles made after around march 2006.
Gears of War is a special ca...

Of course they didn't expect Sony to cut the price. SONY didn't expect Sony to cut the price. If they could've sold it $100 cheaper in the first place, they would've. So obviously they didn't want to cut the price. Have you tried asking yourself why they suddenly can afford the price cut?
Could it be they'll lose more money through lack of sales if they don't?
Any Sony being profitable 3 months ago - BS. No way could it be profitable this soon after launch. They need to break e...

M&S sell consoles?

I am really tired of this. I left this site months ago, because I could see where it was going, I came back now and i'm glad I left. This is by far the worst gaming site on the web. The articles aren't posted to be informative, they're posted to attract praise from fellow fanboys, or prove that owners of the other console are morons.

I'm not oblivious to the Hardware falures. I've had two myself. The second time was recent, and when I got it back, it had the new heatsink inside...

I've said it before, I respect Nintendo for cracking the casual gamer market, but that's where my respect ends. I'm sorry, the wii just isn't for real gamers. If all three consoles were like the wii, i'd give up gaming. I'm in it for the fun, but I'll never be into the whole arm waving party game scene.

DJ, if I can say one thing about you, you've got balls. After successfully making just about everyone on this whole site hate you, you still continue to post this kind of stuff on every damn article, knowing perfectly well you'll get pasted to the walls with disagreement. Either you're very confident or you just like to suffer a little too much.

It's time you realised the whole "Microsoft are an evil corporation" thing went out of fashion almost 10 years ago. You're j...

unfortunately for you, other people from the UK are also on this site, including me, who can tell everyone you just lied. Shame, huh?

Wow, some of you sound happy about this. It's not really good news for anybody but the wii.

1. One month after launch, the PS3 should be outselling the 360, but it isn't. And don't kid yourself about "It hasn't launched in Europe yet" because these figures are from the US only. when you add european figures for the PS3, you'll still be adding european figures from the 360. I dread to think what this will look like when the fuss for the PS3 dies down. And don't forget...

games consoles in general aren't a big thing in India. They are targeted mainly at the more well off families. What alot of people fail to realise about India is that it is highly modernised, but mostly in pockets. The image of India you're probably familiar with only applies to certain areas. Other areas are fairly well built up cities. Microsoft launched in india knowing full well that it would be a niche item, and they only even launched there to prove they can.

I wouldn't be so sure. I have no idea how much the PS3 cost to develop and produce, but it is bound to be more than i'd make in a decade. If they can't get the PS3 to gain more momentum than the PS2, which comparatively now costs them sod all to make, they'll never break even on the PS3.

Much as i'd like to point out the insanity of that, I have a whole ceiling full of dots just waiting to be counted.

two things:

1. By this time after the Xbox 1 launch, the Xbox cost £200. The 360 still costs £280, yet it still sells more than the xbox 1 did. It is doing great.

2. We still don't know if the 360 sold 10 mill. But that doesn't mean they didn't. For all you know, they got overexcited and shipped 12 million, which are now left over after the christmas rush. You can't sell consoles to people right after christmas, nobody has any cash.

I get it. There's a whole subspecies of human with five second memories that spend the whole day putting a negative spin on something they don't understand.

Tell me, if MS could predict sales accurately a year in advance, why are we buying computers from them? Why not buy predictions on the future from them. Tomorrow's lottery numbers.

They changed their prediction after seeing how things panned out, because now they have a better idea how it will sell. And everybody kno...
