is it just me, or does she look like David Bowie?
Why would they even bother? It would be far too easy to prove they were lying, and the bad publicity alone would be worse than if there really was a recall, let alone the lawsuit.
Plus, the retailer never actually confirmed the recall. It was "insider info". So the retailer didn't lie either.
If the journalists are getting a Bioshock demo, we might have it on the marketplace soon. That would be brilliant.
indeed, interesting logic the boy has. Covering up the fact that the 360 outsold the PS3 in June by adding PS3 sales to PSP sales and PS2 sales.
That should be annoying, but how could you be annoyed by it when it's just so funny?
A very passionate outcry, aquaviva. I wonder what makes you shout out your support for Sony so fervently. Seems to me you gained the impression somehow that Sony loves you.
Were you not able to get any love from any real people? So in some twisted way you fill that void by pretending a company has feelings for you.
Hardly suprising that you can't get anybody to love you given that you're the kind of person to shout out about how much you love Sony on the internet.
Kind of...
Nothing went wrong. It was unexciting, but that can't be considered "going wrong". They just didn't have anything really mind blowing to demonstrate. Otherwise it was very well presented.
yes, you're honest about your opinions, I respect that.
I do, however, disagree on a few of your points. By disagree, I mean these things that you mentioned were not enough to convince me to get a PS3.
Notably your point about prefering the PS3 over the 360 due to it being online straight out of the box. The 360 is also online straight out of the box, the charges are for online gaming, which is only £40.00 per year, the price of a single game. I found that the charges for ...
I know what it would take for me.
1. a price of £300 or less
2. A control pad that is better designed for FPS games (bigger frame, better thumb sticks), with rumble.
3. A game I want to buy that I can't get on the 360, other than little big planet
my personal take on this: They are adding online co-op, but there is a slight chance that they wont have time, so they are saying not to assume either way so as not to get our hopes up, and face possible backlash for breaking promises.
And could you please post the legal documents that state I am now a citizen under the Soviet Union?
Moron.
Another article about PS3 sales going up after the price cut.
I'm sure some of them are informative but the Amazon bestseller list? Posting this many articles about a sales increase after a price cut is like posting an article about a ball falling when you throw it in the air.
I know, they have alot up their sleeve. I know halo 3 will be a big source of income for them, I think they may even manage to pull a profit that quarter from it, judging by the sales boost the original box received for halo 2. But, it just worries me, they have investors who want to see evidence of long term gain, and so far they've got little to show for it.
Anyway, i'll just remain optimistic, i'm sure it's just a bad month, it would be nice to hear good news for a change.
It's just not fair for us Xbox fans. It doesn't change the fact that I enjoy playing my Xbox 360 games console, but Microsoft have been making it really difficult for people like me to support them. I still prefer the Xbox over the PS3, and I doubt that will change.
Nobody likes to think there's a chance their favorite console will cease production. And the doubts are there for me. They have sold very well, a good number of units per month, they should be turning a profit by no...
could it not just be the price drop is letting people buy the console cheap and sell it on for a profit whilst people aren't all aware of the drop?
My answer to that one is complicated.
On one hand, I had not included Grand Theft Auto in my assessment as it has been scheduled for release a month after halo 3.
But to the question, do I believe halo 3 will sell more than Grand Theft Auto? Yes, and no. Halo 3 is highly likely to sell more than Grand Theft Auto on any one given system, that is it will in all probability sell more than Grand Theft Auto on the 360, and more than GTA on the PS3 individually.
Combined, howe...
I see. Your arguments focus on my ambiguity. I will speak in detail if you wish.
You've taken to the point that neither of us can predict the future, and therefore all analysis of the outcome of the Halo 3 release are void.
I'm afraid life is not always about focusing on the present. An intelligent person can accurately view the past, compare the present, and produce to a relatively high degree of accuracy a picture of the future. My mistake was speaking in literal terms, when i...
they wont get anywhere, not with the game disk thing. Microsoft has some iron clad defence for it. They changed the disk drives to stop it happening, and they put a warning in the manual not to move the xbox right from the start.
same here. Have you ever been to Videogames live? I went to the London showing, it was a brilliant show, i'd highly reccommend it.
In response to your edit, I think you need to get your argument straight here. On the one hand you argued that there is no way of knowing how halo 3's release will affect 360 console sales, but you are also arguing that Ratchet and Clank will boost PS3 sales in a comparable manner to the 360 sales boost from Halo.
So when it comes to Halo, we don't have the gift of foresight, but now Ratchet and clank is a console seller equal to halo 3?
Halo 3 has millions of d...
yes, i've noticed that too. Instead of going on about how much they love the PS3, they rant about how the 360 is doomed and the PS3 will beat it, etc etc.
They wouldn't be happy if the PS3 was successful, they would only be truly happy if the other consoles all failed miserably too.
I suppose it speaks volumes about the Ps3 target audience. Napoleon comes to mind.
