assuming HD-DVD does still fail (which admittedly looks likely now) you can still benefit from the ultra cheap HD-DVDs when the stores try and shift the stock. So it's not a total loss really.

Sony, the PS3 isn't selling well here because the PS3 costs more than most people make in a month, because there are no games that justify the purchase, because HD-DVD and Bluray haven't taken off yet here, and because the Wii and 360 are far more trusted as well as far better advertised.

People don't normally see a videogame advert for something like Halo and say "wow. I'm going out right now and buying a 360". It's a CUMULATIVE EFFECT. People will see good games as more of an incentive to buy the console.

yes, it's a Brute, holding up Master Chief's 'corpse' to spur on his comrades and to crush the spirits of the humans. The Chief then primes a grenade and looks up, so apparently his "final act" here will be destroying a few covenant and himself.
trust me guys, if Master Chief was going to die in Halo 3, it wouldn't be like that. If he was going to die, it would be in an extreme self sacrifice that either saves millions, kills millions, wins the war, or turns the tide of the war in humanity's favor.

ok, relax. First of all, it's pretty obvious that Humanity wins the war, how many scifi stories end in the aliens being victorious and Humanity perishing? The real question is HOW do we win.
Also, the video DOES NOT necessarily imply MC is dead. He didn't necessarily have to have died at the end of Halo 3 either. This is an old man, reminiscing about the war, speaking of his impressions of Master Chief in battle. He would use past tense, and he's crying because it was traumatic...

I'm a fan of the series, and yes I agree it probably wont be the greatest game i've ever played. But I never approached any of the Halo games with that expectation, i'm really just looking foward to concluding the story. I love the Halo atmosphere, the plot always has me captivated, I think the saved film feature looks brilliant, and both Halo games carry very fond memories for me.
For me, ther ewas never a moment when I wasn't going to buy it! I'll even be buying a new TV soon...

Honestly, I freed up some cash the other day, and considered upgrading to an Elite, which just launched over here. This was what stopped me, when I found out my arcade games will stop working offline. I will soon be without internet for a long time, and that's just something i don't need.
It does need to be fixed, they need some method of associating content with a new console. Maybe they should put a limit on it or something, seeing as people wont need to upgrade that often.

I feel at this point I should point out that according to VGChartz, The 360 has been outselling the PS3 in Europe for two weeks running. I was considering posting that as an article, but eventually decided against it, seeing as the European VGChartz figures are not at all reliable.
Still, it means there is no evidence that PS3 sales are higher worldwide. According to VGChartz, it's now just Japan.
No, trust me, there aren't. I've seen people swear to their grave that they didn't cheat and that Microsoft banned them for no reason, but they're just trying to make themselves look good. If they got banned, they did something wrong.
