They're only switching over to PS3 because they aren't selling out as they expected on the 360. Dead Rising and Saints' Row overshadowed it. Personally I couldn't care less. Let me just clear this up. Your HD-DVD add on will NOT cost $375 if it costs £199. In England, EVERYTHING is overpriced, when costs are converted from dollars to pounds, we don't get charged a clean exchange, we get charged more.

You misunderstand. I hate BBC news for downplaying 360 news and overplaying everything PS3 related. I'm saying they take every chance they can to insult the 360, but when a golden opportunity comes up to point out a flaw in the PS3 they still focus on people saying how good the PS3 is.
You still strategically avoid the fact that hardly anybody even wants the HD-DVD add on, and hardly anybody would want a Blu-ray add on for the PS3. Saying you are getting value when you are forced to buy something for cheaper is like thanking a judge for reducing your sentence on a crime you didn't commit.

I'm not mad. Hell, I had to get my 360 repaired too. I think a higher number of launch units were defective than Microsoft were letting on. But I don't care, I got my 360 fixed free under warantee, the hardware was updated so it wouldn't fail again, and all shipments after launch have been relatively failure free. If Microsoft have to lie about failure rate to avoid a recall, that's fine by me, there's no point recalling a games console just because of a few easily fixed launch day bugs.

It's not really about what resolution you're using, you just have to select the closest resolution to your monitor in the settings. You need a Widescreen monitor to get anything over 640 X 480, but as long as you have widescreen, every resolution can be upscaled or downscaled, and they all pretty much look fantastic.
