Selfish? Listen to yourself. You sound like you think any competition to the PS3 is a personal attack on yourself. You shouldn't be laying awake at night crying wondering why people arent accepting Bluray.
You would have to be all kinds of pathetic to be jealous of someone's disk. All I know is I can SEE DVD making fantastic graphics, Sony can tell me i'm not seeing it all they want.
It's probably better this way. Let them wait a year or so until they feel confident enough to try again, that way they don't think they can push us onto the next format every three years and reap the profits every time the format gets cheap enough for the working class consumer.
What did you expect? They're selling the consoles at a loss. It wil take some time before everyone pays back the loss in accessory and game sales, and the analysts (the real analysts) believe this could be before June 2006. I'm confident of this fact. Have you seen the accessory and game attach rate???
great news! And according to the estimates, Xbox 360 sales will reach 10 million before december is over. Either way, for all consoles, sales that surpass expectations draw the attention of investors.
1. I don't believe I claimed Japan hate American technology DJ. I said Japan don't idolise America and Britain as so many people in America and Britain idolise japan.
2. Immaturity and ignorance? You don't sound like you even understood what I said.
3. -MaddensRaiders- so what you're saying is, the fact that the PS2 sold well is undeniable proof that Sony went out of their way to impress us? More so than Microsoft are with the xbox even? That only proves the we...
I'm sick of people in Britain and America getting obsessed with Japan. Some of you talk like it's your country. Let me enlighten you.
Assuming none of these Japanophiles are actually Japanese, the japanese do not regard you as an equal. No matter how much Manga you watch or how many times you pretend you're a ninja, you are not Japanese.
Microsoft have done nothing to impress the Japanese? SONY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO IMPRESS THE WESTERNERS. You probably believe they do because yo...
No, you're right, MS didn't come up with the idea. But I bet Sony wouldn't have thought of doing it if MS hadn't done it.
0.0125% of the total consumers they are predicting for. You think that's a GOOD SAMPLE?? When I took my course in statistics they suggested a minimum of a 5% for a random sampling. This is a web poll with a control study of phoning up random people, which is dodgy enough, and then they go ahead and cut the sample size down by 8000X.
I'm actually going to stick around for the fanboy wars on this one. I couldn't stop laughing. You could tie the irony of this article to a rope and use it to knock down walls.
Am I missing something here? How do you make a claim as to what 16 million people will buy from a sample of 2000?
I seriously doubt the plausability of this though. Sure enough, interest in the PS3 could be higher than the thousands of internet polls i've read stated, but not by that much. Somewhere along the line this data is being corrupted, even fanboys should agree this much.
It might take you 5 hours to play through, but i've been playing it when I get free time, and i'm only half way through. I usually play for 2 hours a time.
I wasn't bothered by the multiplayer, they can adress it at their own pace. The Single player is AWESOME.
trust me mate. Fanboys always have a little s**t stored up for a rainy day. Even when you think they've thrown it all, they still throw another cubic tonne at you.
I'm thinking i'll slowly back out of here before the fanboys show up.
yet another quoted retail price that claims to confirm an actual price. Once again, folks, it doesn't matter what Walmart says. They don't know for certain any more than you do, at least not yet. The Estimate a retail price (ERP? Geddit?) based on a suggested retail price (SRP). The 360 was down for £400 pounds on retail sites before it launched, remember?
assuming this poll has any amount of accuracy to it, this is good news for Sony. I guess the price drop paid off for them in their own territory. Which was probably the goal, they don't mind losing more money to save the embarassment of their own country rejecting the console.
Honestly though, i'm starting to doubt the relevance of Japan in the long run of this console war. They're basically the only country where the PS3 has been predicted to have good sales.
Considering the fact you are trying to decide which GAMES CONSOLE suits you better, it's odd you only looked at the HD media players. And you never even once mentioned the games. If the HD media player is what matters to you, then buy a Bluray player, and leave the consoles for the gamers.
no, at TGS they said they had sold 5 million units IN JUNE. They were repeating the same figures they gave back in June. If you don't beleive me, watch it again.
And that site is only taking a guess Microsoft have not released sales figures at all since June.
what do you mean you paid for COD2 online? Are you saying you bought the game online, or you paid for xbox live and that's all you played so far? And what do you mean there was no one on! COD2 is one of the most played games on live!
calm down, you can jump over obstacles, they did it during the demo footage.
that's odd... I don't see why people over here would be any more interested in the game than in the US.
It wouldn't surprise me if it's because people here lack excitement. Or maybe we just don't read reviews.
