It SHOULD be about who is best for the job, but in today's day and age that doesnt always fly.
So she is complaining that with the push for diversity that she is getting work? Call it tokenism if you want, but if a dev has a black female character and they want that same requirement for their voice actor... seems like your the perfect fit. You basically have a portion of the voice acting industry carved out for you that is guaranteeing you work just based off your gender and skin color.
Is that privilege?

I'm not saying Links Awakening is a bad game, I just don't see how remake of a '93 game is considered in a 2019 GotY discussion. Much like I wouldn't consider RE2 either.
DMCV, Metro Exodus, Bloodstained, Tomb Raider, Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Dead Cells, Hellblade, Master Chief Collection, Sunset OD, Ori... are these not quality games? (I could list more, but I suspect you aren't up for an actual discussion on this).
I agree that GoW was spectacular. I personally prefer the original combat, design, and boss fights though. Original GoW had so much more variety and combo's with its weapons, and power moves/combos weren't locked behind cool downs. GoW recycled a lot of the same fights and the dark elfs are just boring characters.
But the enemy and boss fights can definitely improve. Hopefully more weapons are introduced as well, the axe just felt so boring. Once I got my blades bac...
Best was narrative? Wtf are you smoking? haha
Yes the amount of options available to you to infiltrate bases was impressive and arguably the only good thing about MGSV. The actual open world is barren and boring. The missions and side ops (mostly side ops) recycle the same main bases. Sure you can try doing the base a million times with different equipment, but once you learn its layout it's really not fun anymore.
The AI was not very smart and easily...
I guess it depends on the size of the content you're getting? DLC's can range in size, so something like a handful of maps for MP, or some skins and such are definitely just DLC. If it's something like The Witcher 3 or Monster Hunter World Iceborne where they add so much new stuff that it almost matches the base game content then that is definitely an expansion.
Looks totally bad
Edit: Also, the ant enemy things look straight outta Jet Force Gemini.
You really think Luigi's Mansion 3 will grab GotY?
Another? You mean the same Zelda Classic, just updated a bit.
Mario Maker? Lol
Pokemon version 127? Lol
Astral Chain and what else?
I'm pretty sure Konami as a company makes around the same as Sony. They don't make their money from video games.
Okay great, thanks guys. I'll go ahead and grab on my X then.
I keep hearing it is bad, but I also have the X so if it's fine on the X then I'll grab it.
I bought into the early access of Dreams and I really do want to get into it, but it's been so hard lately with the other quality releases I need to play and backlogged.
I know once I get into Dreams I'll be locked in for a long time because I want to build a game idea I have been working on since Project Spark lol
To expand on my point as well with his shit about Xbox focusing on MT's even at launch of this gen.. well Killzone had them at launch as well, and MLB The Show has a system JUST LIKE EA's FIFA which is made for you to drop a ton of cash each and every year. How about Driveclub? GT6 also had them back in 2013.
PSNow opened the door for console subscription based gaming. It clearly influenced GamePass and EA Access, even though they took their formula and made it bett...
Yep, lost the remaining respect I had for Jim with this one. Not because he is attacking MS or that i need to defend them, but the fact his information is just so biased. UC3 had pay to win in 2012 before Gears or Halo even had MT's. TLoU as well.
Also, are we going to blame Sony for creating subscription based gaming with PSNow since GamePass and EA Access were influenced by that?
"Most of their games have monetization in mind."
Titanfall? Quantum Break? Ori? Sunset Overdrive? Forza Horizon 4? SoD2? Crackdown 3? Sea of Thieves JUST added some, but it went almost 2 years without it.
Yes they have dabbled in MT's with some of their big MP games that they support for YEARS, but so has Sony. UC3 had pay to win MT's in 2012 before Gears or Halo had them, TLoU had pay to win MT's as well, MLB The Show, Killzone Shad...
I absolutely loved this game, played it exhaustively when it launched. I loved the gameplay flow, the over the top color pallet, the crazy guns and modifiers, the humor. I thought they could have done better with some mission designa though, but overall it was a very fun game.
