Maybe it will have some sections as Joel so we get both sides story after the events of the first. Much like how the perspective changed when Joel was injured and we had to save him as Ellie. I have a feeling we may have something similar.
The Elder Scrolls is in my top 5 favorite franchise back when I played Daggerfall. I love it despite its issues. But Bethesda has been very lazy lately and each new TES has gotten less and less focus on good RPG gameplay.
I'm okay with Obsidian taking them out. Especially if they can nail down better melee combat.
I could not care any less about 2D Mario anymore. They just dont offer anything new.
And here is a game where you build or play community 2D Mario levels. Yawn. Let me know when the next 3D Mario is out. The only Nintendo games I even care about anymore are 3D Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. The Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Kirby, Yoshi... they are just so boring and have barely evolved.
Sounds like his problem is all of the above. This game has been a mess from the beginning and even fans of Shenmue like myself are a bit disappointed that the character models and animations still look like an OG Xbox game.
Well, yeah, have you seen the Skyrim mods? Plus, I'm sure they have seen porn...

I want physical consoles because I dont want full streaming yet, but I no longer want physical games. I have over 600 games between Xbox, PS4, and Switch and I only have maybe 5 games physical.
Exactly. These acquisitions and how MS is handling it all is VASTLY different then what happened with Rare.
He was going to retire because he was tired of the stress of constantly seeking money and balancing that edge of what they can afford to produce or what they have to cut. Now that he doesnt have to worry about money, he is excited again he can just focus on making good games.
Are we not including 2nd/3rd party games like Ori, Quantum Break, Forza Horizon, Sunset, Titanfall etc?
I'm not going to pretend that their first party has been fantastic. SoT was pretty empty at launch, SoD2 had too many bugs, Halo 5 had the worst campaign in series history, Crackdown 3 was a big let down with its cloud... Forza and Gears have been solid this gen though. But I wouldn't say...
Honestly, Greenburg is a pretty bad PR person. He always acts surprised with anything and I mean ANYTHING MS does. It IS his job, but still haha.
Of the devs they acquired Ninja Theory, Obsidian, InXile, and Playground Games are the ones I'm not too worried about with their upcoming games. They are talented and have proved themselves to make quality games.
Well unlike Rare, they weren't abandoned by Nintendo and then almost bought by Activision before MS acquired them. And during all this, lost almost all of their senior and lead staff...
Obsidian posted on LinkedIn just the other day they are hiring even more people for a high profile AAA first person melee and ranged combat RPG using the unreal engine 4 with a full day/night cycle.
The difference is sega backed out because lack of money. They had no support for the Saturn in the US and then they used 32x which was expensive and risky and people just burned all their games.
360 was a success so while still underselling the 360 a little is no doubt a failure, it doesn't mean they lost so much money that they're backing out completely and going full 3rd party. It is forcing them to change a lot, bolster their first party studios, create policies ...
lol Only took 10 comments before someone mentions Xbox in a Sony game article... smh.

Very excited to see this. I hope we get a MP trailer as well, I really enjoyed the first games MP mode.
He, uh, has an action figure of himself on his desk? The hubris is unreal haha
Yessir! However it feels more like a Bioware game then Bethesda. Reminds me a lot of the original Dragon Age

Exactly why it's a shame they still look like the originals... when it's been how long?

None of that happened with these acquisitions.

Obviously going to be a few years in the making, but that confirms at the very least 2 brand new next gen RPG IP's.
