I asked if I could send my console in so they could look at it and verify I haven't opened it and modded it. They still refused.
They said, when they get a console in for repair, if the account is flagged, they wont even look at the console. They just send it back.
My xbox got a e74 yesterday while I was playing on live. I'm still under warranty so I called up Microsoft to get the repair process started. Microsoft is refusing to repair my console though because they have it flagged as being banned. I can get on live without any issues. I can log into my live account via the website as well. They say the console is the part that is banned.
I have not modded it. Don't even know how.

I love how, the people infinity ward are trying to hurt (the pirates) are always the ones referred to in these articles as the ones who will provide the solution or will be the ones who "hurt" infinity ward.
It is because of piracy that this is happening. Blame yourself not the developer.
I'm pretty sure, if you look at how ODST was set up, we will get to play as a few different Spartans in REACH. They invested heavily on how to set switching between characters without jarring the Immersion of the gamer to not use it again. I expect we will get to play as a few different characters. Glad to see that they will be using different "perks" as was talked about in the book. IE: one spartan has better shields, one has really good sniper perks, one is really fast.
Well this makes since the DVD drive has a much fast read speed than the Blue ray drive in the PS3. It's why a lot of developers require the install on the PS3.
Not lack. It's disabled for certain game modes to abide by the game rules they want to enforce for those modes. For instance, in team deathmatch, they wont let dead team members talk to live ones. This is done to prevent dead members telling their team what the other team is doing. Games like free for all wont have private chats disabled.
OK, so support their decision by doing exactly what they are trying to prevent. And this is helping how?
The removal of Dedicated servers has not killed the Multilayer. It has only changed it. You can't mod (for now at least) or have custom play lists. It;s restricted. Not dead.
It really seems to me the people who are crying the loudest about this are the people who abused dedicated servers and pirated the game anyways.
I think its funny how you didn't include the option to just not play the game. What message does that send?
PC games are overly pirated. It makes since that companies are trying everything they can to stop it. Good games like this will continue to suffer because of pirates.
If you should be mad at anyone, be mad at yourself and anyone else who has pirated games. You have ruined PC gaming.
I must say, I play end game wow and have participated in the beta for Aion and I have still never felt so nerdy as to read your conversations between each other about the two.
Both Aion and WoW are very popular for different reasons both offering similar experiences through different means. Stop arguing over which is better or worse.
So instead of COD you will be playing a game based off of old tech and a game whose multiplayer has no dedicated servers. I understand if you just don't like COD but you have to admit, the irony here is humorous.

I think it's odd that most gamers share this opinion as the developers. The dev says this because they are just now coming into times where they have existing tools and can make their games for this generation at a far less cost then when the consoles first came out.

I agree people aren't hating on them for no reason but because of one decision, all of a sudden, IW is now the enemy and people won't even try their new game? Just seems like overkill. If you don't agree with their server choice, then don't play the multiplayer. I think people will get their moneys worth just from the single player alone. I also think that if people gave the multiplayer a shot, they wouldn't be disappointing.

haha, yeah all games that have been out for a while now and more then likely beaten already by most here. You stick to those and I'll see how long it takes for you to start playing MW2. Just like everyone else here, once the game is out, you guys will get it and then start stating how everyone was wrong and that you KNEW it would be good.

Yeah, you are right. Besides an entirely new single player game, improved graphics engine (they chose to increase the amount of stuff happening on screen instead of actually improving the graphics), new coop mode. Improved multi-player with all new maps, perks, modes and such, there is nothing new at all. They should of just released a whole new games worth of content as a DLC pack.
Microsoft is banning people who have made their own custom hard drives because a lot of the people who use these hard drives are getting them with pirated games.
Go on ebay, they advertise they come with hundreds of games. I would say that is a good reason to not allow them.
