Yay, I can't wait for people to start taking pictures of their junk just to use it as their avatars face.
"That is what confuses me over this so much. MS is sort of marketing Kinect as if it is a new console.. So surely the best way to do that is to shift the 'console' to as many people as possible... So why are they trying to grab a real profit margin from it?"
Because that is what the Wii did and it worked well. Normally companies in the gaming industry sells the hardware for a loss and makes up the money from software. Wii has always sold for a profit and Ni...
When did the game go multi-console?
I have at least 5 of those on my PS3. One for me, my wife, her brother, my brother, and her sister. Oh and a Japanese account for me to get some Japanese titles.
PSN does indie games?
True but if you are interested in sales figures, you will probably find this the most helpful indication of how something is selling. It's not perfect but it's about the only thing available now.
Banning ip is too easy to get around. Also colleges share a single ip for a big group of users then split that connection. You ban the ip they see and all of a sudden a whole dorm can't get on. Plus even with cable Internet you can get a new ip by unplugging your modem for a few hours.
Besides if your willing to go legit and buy a new console why would they want to try to stop you?
Is this just for the UK or world wide?
I imagine GT5 will sell a crap ton copies in both Europe and Asia regions.
Because Amazon is the only real sales report that are released now that the NPD isn't releasing its records publicly.
Then maybe I missed it but every-time this argument comes up in any article and someone actually asks for links to comments that show this, they either link to comments that yes, one person says something with tons of negative comments around it or they choke and use the excuse of,"well, they have it coming. You should of seen what it was like a few years ago. Nothing but MS fan-boys giving Sony fan-boys a hard time about the PS3."
Before anyone starts putting me in...
No no, you don't understand. Unless you said you purchased the Move and it turned your wife into a gamer and made her happy, you're a nerd M$ fanboy who rages online and acts like a dick to everyone. Also you are obligated to defend every dumb decision that M$ makes. Seriously though, it's not even worth replying to this guy cause if you check his comment history, he spews nothing but hateful garbage. I don't care what your priorities are, what console you own/love. Stuff like...
Looking more into your comment history I see things like:
"Xbox and the 360 were made by nerds for nerds. That's what all this big argument is about. Nerds ruin everything. They hate the world and ruin everything for everybody else because they can't fit in. Online, when they're all 6'8" with big muscles, and striking good looks, it is an opportunity for them to have a little power, boss people around, and pretend to be "the man". The reality is tha...
You must be joking because I can pretty much guarantee that no one on this site is hyping Kinect like you described. This site is so full of Sony fanboys that anything MS related gets trashed in comments within minutes. Then you get some random trolls that try to stoke the flames on both sides but I've really never seen something like what you are saying. Troll on good sir.
Milo Project isn't canceled, just changed. Peter just came by Epic last month and spoke with everyone regarding future projects(hardware and software).
Brutal Legend is still one of my favorite games simply because of the characters and story. The game itself was fun although the RTS elements were a little weak.
Mine would be Star Ocean 2. I had an ability/item that gave me a extremely small chance of instant KO on an enemy that I hit. Never saw it activate in the game until I hit the last boss, first time. Boom, dead. I didn't know what happened. Thought it was part of the story until the ending cinema started playing. When I realized what happened. I was pretty excited.
I found it before I found Arcade games. I think the new layout works. Just slightly different organization than before.
I'm fairly convinced that I wouldn't want a hologram type gaming system. I just can't imagine how anything could change my perspective enough to immerse me into what is happening the way a screen does. Maybe if used as a form of 3D tech, still using a screen but have the hologram used to make the images pop out and have depth. Otherwise, I don't see a future for it unless it becomes like a holo deck situation where everything in the room takes on the illusion which isn't g...
Microsoft is focusing Kinect marketing toward a casual market. This is no secret. I seriously doubt MS or any company would ever say FU to their core audience nor did I suggest they were.
I simply stated that what I believe his statement meant is that reviews wont matter because the people the reviews are being written for, aren't the people they are trying to sell those games to. Do you think that Kinectimals is made for hardcore gamers that read any of the sites that I ...
I hope not. If so, I wont be getting it unless they have a non phone version as well. I don't want to spend the extra money for phone components when I already have a better phone.
