I'm tempted to buy a Wii for this game...
tempted...
I was hoping this was going to be a better looking, campaign-version of Operation 7.
I've yet to find another FPS that comes close to that game's gun physics and tactical take on shootouts.
I guess maybe they'll get it right in Medal of Honor 2...if it gets a sequel =/
Wow, totally funked up comment right there.
KillZone 2 was hardly run-and-gun mate, unless you liked eating dirt sandwiches often?
Whenever people call run-and-gun games "strategic" or "tactical" it lets me know they don't play many games and they're usually uninformed kids.
You want tactics? Try Operation 7 and do the sniping stages, lol, you'll get owned bad using CoD tactics on that game.
Hit the nail on the head with this one.
It's the same for just about any game with a deep create-a-character (including wrestling games with storylines).
I can't really think of a way where developers can conveniently make a created character carry the same sort of depth someone like James Marsden or Niko Bellic would.
I found that I'm constantly getting external hard-drives to accomodate all the games when getting them digitally. 10gig per game really does add up, so I can see the convenience of not using hard-disk space to play every single new game out there.
Still, I agree that physical copies are still the best way to own whatever game you pay for.
They said the Micro-console is coming soon, so for gamers like yourself (and maybe myself) that wouldn't be a bad way to go to get high-end gaming from the couch. Heh.
You just pay for the games.
I imagine console fanboys may not take well to this kind of news.
CoD MMO = Alliance of Valiant Arms...look it up fanboys.
As for evrfighter who mentions a COD MMO with vehicles apparently never heard of War Rock.
CoD with a monthly subscription is just fail all the way around. There are a ton of really great free-to-play shooters out there already, you would have to be a complete moron to pay for something that's already available for free.
Anyone ever heard of Genesis A.D.? Exactly.
There's no such thing as an "un-biased" opinion.
No matter who reviews a game they're going in either highly critical of a genre (because they don't like it) or with high praise of a genre (because they like it).
Ultimately, reviews cater toward two kinds of gamers (i.e., fanboys or haters) and the people who just want something down the middle have to shuffle through the fluff to still (ultimately) decide if they want the game or n...
WHen did the emo-Twilight era turn into tough guys?
Just makes you appreciate the old Dante even more now. Maybe they need to watch The Expendables some more to understand how REAL tough guys should be.
Skinny crackhead lesbo Dante needs to go away.
Agree with you.
It's like getting a cheaper, bloodier, more action-oriented (even though I didn't think that was possible) version of Gears 2.
I don't think it'll match Gears in quality but it's nice to see that indy developers are delivering games that gamers always wanted but don't seem to be getting.
They better not leave out Rob Van Dam in the game as a secret character...he's one of the very best, ever. And hopefully his movie career won't tank due to that POS Wrong Side of Town.
Some of the ATI cards are supposedly DX10/DX11 ready but if you don't have the right combination of processor/GPU the games just don't run worth spit. People always say the Radeon 5x series is one of the best but with an AMD processor the performance is just kind of sucky for lot of the newer games.
I admit the GeForce zaps a lot of power but with a $3 USB laptop fan it can run a lot of newer games like a dream.
Kung Lao has a kick butt finisher.
He's always been one of the most under-rated MK characters.
Back on topic...this game actually looks pretty sick. Awesome vid.
stiff competition from some of the new blood, too...
Astral ships in Allods takes the MMO formula and then dumps it on its head with something brand new.
Vindictus is like out of this world and I'm hoping Nexon can find a way to get that game on the 360 and PS3.
As Darkfiber said, TERA is just straight-up awesome.
WoW? Well, Cataclysm would have to be pretty darn amazing to draw people back in.
How the heck do you get a PG-13 rating out of a dude and little girl who go around fluid-raping rabid people?
PC gaming really is dead. Poor PC gamers get the gimpiest of gimped ports for 10 bucks less than their console counterparts.
I've yet to play a recent game with a decent PC port that didn't require 20+ patches just to work right. Remember GTAIV, Borderlands, Saints Row 2, Call of Juarez 2? If it's not some indie title don't expect it to work right until a year later (unless they just dump the game altogether like THQ did with SR2).
Finally, Shamrock versus Emilianenko FTW.
maybe next time RTW.
fans the reason a lot of games kind of suck this generation?
I imagine with PS Move and Kinect about to make a big move in the industry, they could sway how favored franchises like MvC could evolve. And if casual gamers are always the aim of hardcore labeled LPs then we would end up with casual iterations of once core-centric titles. I imagine this would probably be a stepping stone for Capcom.
Look at what happened to Forza and Splinter Cell in an attemp...
