There are towns infested with zombies in Fallen Earth...if that counts.
There would be a lot more poor people, too...because all their money would go into the Pokemon cash shop.
Nintend's new slogan "Can't catch e'm all? BUY E'M ALL!!!"
Hmm, I don't know...
I can identify better with characters who have something to lose or gain, like Dom and Fenix from Gears of War. I felt their banter and brief allusions to past circumstances helped give players a reason to root for these guys.
With Freeman it was more about the thrills of the gameplay rather than the actual character narrative that helped fuel the story.
LOL, it's funny because I play all my PC games with an Xbox 360 controller and it's about to die on me...again.
I love Xbox controllers but they die waaaay too quickly. Microsoft is really cleaning up there.
But you're right about the Mouse and Keyboard combo...I still have a working Acer keyboard from almost a decade ago.
Dang Samaritan only ran on three 580s?!?!
DUDE, think about that for ONE second and you'll know why it's a good thing. That could have very well passed for a big budget movie.
If you can run movie-quality graphics for about $2,000 then I'm not going to complain. It really shows a HUGE step in how advanced software/middleware has come in the past generation.
I don't look at it as "Ah, I'll never be able to afford a sy...
I've been wondering the same thing.
They could have just called it "BioInvasion" and called it a day.
Using the name "XCOM" and then changing the formula to a standard-fare shooter is like a huge slap in the face to the original fans.
I can definitely say that it's WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better now.
If I had a better PC I would be playing it right now. Actually, I CAN play it right now but I don't want to burn out the video card.
G1 basically did a complete overhaul and it runs so freaking smooth both THQ and Rockstar should be ashamed that GTAIV and Saints Row 2 run so piss poorly on updated PCs.
The game is really amazing.
8GB is not a big jump.
Pay attention to some of the newer games released and you'll notice that 4GB is about the standard. In fact, 4GB will be part of the minimum requirements for most PC games by next year.
By the time the new consoles come out it would be ideal for them to use between 8 and 10GB of RAM if we really want to see games make the leap from this gen to true next gen.
A good example is APB: Reloaded, which eats up ram ...
WOW, what an ignorant comment.
"No PC really needs above that right now and that's with bloatware" Are you serious?
You NEVER played any new PC game then because even on WinXP you'll struggle playing games like Black Prophecy, Borderlands, Fallen Earth or APB with anything less than 4GB.
I agree with Crytek, the consoles need 8GB because already a lot of games have a standard requirement of 4GB on Win7 PCs and even t...
Too true.
I'll still be playing Saints Row 2 (the game is really long) by the time SR3 comes out.
It's too bad this Pokemon and others aren't in an MMO already. Really Nintendo, really?!
Ha, that picture is hilarious.
Sounds like a game worth buying.
This game always seemed kind of cool. One day I'm gonna check it out.
I reluctantly have to concur, but I still like F2P better than P2P. Allods is one of the biggest culprits with the whole rune system (the more you pay or uber-grind, the more powerful you can become). In Allods it makes a huge difference because most of the endgame involves PvP.
For some gamers it's not that bad, and right now APB has a really awesome fremium and premium setup.
This game definitely brings back memories.
Wow, the art-style looks so similar to Dragon Ball.
Yeah but it doesn't matter if the console version of BF3 won't be as good just because DICE is at least moving the entire genre forward with a lot of big and small innovative gameplay and graphical features.
Even if console gamers have to settle for a less-than-spectacular experience by comparison to the high-end PC gamer at least it won't be the same old rehash Activision has been spitting out.
@farhad2k8
"I disagree, if respawn entertainment and slegehammer games decide to do something a little different, the game may look good when it's released."
Seriously, dude?
Keep dreaming. They can't afford to do anything different with the annual CoD releases. None of the games since Modern Warfare (or after) will do anything different otherwise it opens up a slew of new problems, glitches, bugs and errors that they&...
@ddkshah
Wow, fanboy much?
Destroyed all games in the single player experience? Really? Mass Effect 1 & 2? Really? You honestly think it's gonna own Deus Ex, too?
I don't know dude, Uncharted is fine if you like those sort of games (and I admit there are aspects that are better than Gears of War) but it certainly does not destroy every other game out there.
