Dude, that date actually makes perfect sense, too.
In time for the new gen consoles to show new gen tech and the day and date fits with the whole Tuesday release thing. Very helpful, well done. Bubs to you.
...or when he wants you to smell his "flower".
Completely agree.
I adore Nvidia's muscle-car type approach to GPUs, but they would be dire in a console...I can already imagine lots of hardware overheating and issues.
ATI's Xfire setups are a lot more reliable and remind of Japanese production cars tuned for sports racing. Fast, small, sleek and long lasting.
I also completely agree about the AMD CPU setup...the better combination would be a ATI Xfire GPU setup with an Intel Hex...
Saturn was waaaaaay more powerful than the PS1. Do some research homey.
Saturn had three core processors, PS1 only had one. Saturn also ran their games much, much faster than the PSX.
LOL Unicron 7 proves your boredom point.
Not every gamer is a 14 year old dude-bro brat and I can see how the boredom factor comes into the argument when discussing raw power over hardware innovation.
However, my counterpoint would be that horsepower doesn't necessitate boring gameplay mechanics. Look at games like Portal and STALKER, utilizing tried and true genres to offer different kinds of experiences as opposed to trying to show off the latest and gre...
The market is big enough for Nintendo to tap it anyway they like...from in front, from behind, from the side, from on top or from the bottom. Nintendo taps the market. Any. Way. They. Like.
Wii U could be a big hit just because it is different and that was one of the main selling points of the Wii in combination with its price. There are enough casual gamers to get duped into buying a Wii U even if the tablet doesn't do anything else other than game.
Not really. The 15 and older crowd want online but the kiddies and family-gamers don't need it.
Think about it, the Wii won this gen no matter how you cut the custard, sales, market dominance and install base and it did it without a strong online component.
If Nintendo wants some core gamers they'll probably tack on a decent online service but if they still want those casual gamers then they'll stick to their guns the way they did with the Wii. ...
Third place this gen?
Uhh right...I guess we're just ignoring sales and online market domination then. Okay.
He looks like a hobbit.
People complain about Nintendo for a number of reasons, but one thing we all respect them for is not milking their franchises with annual releases at $60 a pop. I don't need to name names.
Anyway, when Nintendo does release a game it usually has enough replay value and content to stand on its own legs.
There will be people playing Skyward Sword a few years from now on emulators because it's still a classic in its own right.
"They get better with each passing year"....Hmm, yeah, well I'm sure it'll be like 2020 before the VGAs get good.
Dude, ALL movie tie-ins start development usually once the movie gets announced after bids are put in for the game rights.
Get a clue.
Ugh, gamers these days...
Edit: Also, IT IS A MOVIE-BASED game. Why are people even defending Activision now? Pfft, and it looks pretty bad based on that video.
Actually the story is what carried it for me. The gameplay was sloppy with a lot of bad framerate cut-ins.
I doubt there's much they could do about the framerate until new consoles appear, though.
I said the next movie would be about Cybertron, not that it would be a sequel...ever heard of a prequel maybe?
And there are cost effective ways to make good looking 3D, District 9 had better looking 3D and was only a fourth of Dark of the Moon's budget.
Were there even enough decent fighting games to fill out the nominee list? Mostly budget fighting games were released this year with the exception of MK and Fight Night.
With that said, Mortal Kombat and Fight Night Champion did stand out...I honestly can't say which of the two were better, kind just boils down to personal preference because both knocked it out of the ballpark.
I loved the whole Frost storyline from FNC, though. They gave him the look and a-...
I can't say anything bad about the SDF because instantaneously they'll say that I'm a Xbot because of my avatar.
I will, however, say that zombies are getting tiresome no matter how they look or what's growing out of their orafices.
They're basically zombies.
What classifies a zombie?
Mindless, ugly, rabid creature that kills anything that doesn't look as ugly or act as rabid as it does.
That's pretty much a zombie for today's generation.
Looks good.
I bet that raptor is hoping he doesn't get shot in the knee with an arrow.
Actually, the trailer is about on par to what Bay movies were like.
I agree with Plagasx...what else were you expecting?
I imagine the next movie will probably be about Cybertron and will mostly be in 3D. So I won't be complaining if it's even remotely like the game.
I know right? It's one of the most annoying memes ever mainly because most people who use it have no idea that I just took an arrow to the knee.
Zing!
