They should sell units without HDDs, then all you do is whip out the HDD (requires HDD, but they just let you use yours for a price reduction) from your EXISTING PS3 and BAM! Ready-to-go!
370.00 (tax and everything).
Realistically though, I'm HOPING to see at least a 399.95 model and an out-of-the-box free 3 month subscription to PS4 Plus.
I haven't played it yet, but imagine a sequel on PS4!
Agree to disagree.
I think what you are saying WAS accurate and still may be, but I have a bit more faith in devs this time around (and Publishers for that matter). That they won't be so stupid (at least not ALL publishers with the reigns on the purse strings) to "dumb down" our games.
It would be monumentally stupid to do so. Example, I never got the feeling the Bad Company series was gimped, or Battlefield 3 for that matter.

Hmm... COD on next gen hardware.
If the abysmal aim-assist is intact then the game is yet another COD DAY ONE PASS for me.
Visually, loved it.
Obviously real time, great.
(speculation over whether it was running on a PS4 or a PC though, iffy, any confirmation?)
The part they chose to demo, a smidge on the "every-day shooter side," to me anyway. I REALLY don't know what I expected to see that would blow me away, but the visuals are wonderful.
I guess there's some other illusive innovation that I'd like to see in a game (suspend and i...
I thought I cared about backwards compatibility with PS3 a great deal and ended up only play a few old games and never to completion.
And as I still have my PS3, playing those games when I have a PS4 is still fine.
"It's the morning after the night before..."
Instant classic, way to confuse the hell out of a potential reader with your very first line, hope it was intentional.
I am willing to "re-purchase" games if the newer version meets my expectations in one or more ways:
1) true to the original (but with perhaps modern implements to the controls, where applicable, and save functions, things like that.
2) visual improvements, if it suits the particular game and doesn't detract from the original experience
3) straight ports are never worth the price to me and I consider them lazy, so laziness equals...
... Dont think most gaming PC s (let alone low to mid range) will tout any instant on and suspend characteristics... Or any of the other SIMPlICITY features and seamless interaction, but thats just my opinion.
"Doesn’t require a subscrpition fee"
Despite the spelling error, how is that supposed to work on a 360? I realize a game might not require a subscription, but online sure does correct?
Talk about backing the wrong horse... especially when ANY of the three other horses would have been a better bet.
No accountability.. simple as that. Say or do whatever and get away with it shows most peoples' true colors.
The "Z" has been conquered... who's next?
Yes, but can that car render "X" gflops of whatnots every second!
Yeah, didn't think so...
Think now, given the features expected of both, competing is really going to be a moot point. No body compares the viability of an average PC to a mega-gaming PC, both exist because both perform a wide variety of desired tasks.
These new consoles' "lives" won't only depend on who's got the better visuals anymore. The only way one would "oust" the other is by outperforming it in a multitude of ways and by a wide margin, or one console or the oth...
Could be fun
One guy turns on speed and runs by soldiers grabbing their attention then disappears into the jungle, other guy rains arrows silently from behind.
Or both go into strength mode and play catch with the last survivor.
Ooo, a Crysis football game FINALLY a sports game I might play. Everybody gets NANO SUITS! 1000 M football field/obstacle course, w land mines, attack elephants, Velociraptors and one mean-a$$ turtle (family guy refer...
Doesn't mean other devs won't be leveraging the power of Crytek's engine :)
Should a Ferrari cost more than a Civic?
Performance and quality should determine cost for NEW games.
Remakes are a separate issue.
As a gamer I say that Republicans and their collective ideals (on the whole) are more dangerous than guns.
I'm vexed... do I want it to look totally radical and unnecessarily badas$, or practical, and conservatively tasteful... hmmm...
