That's right, it doesn't, but oddly enough it will support eight-track cartridges and records.
And they say its not backwards compatible.
Sounds very right to me... don't know how they would get away with you... killing children in the game... aggressors or not.
Don't know if it's "allowed."
I personally don't equate game violence with real-world violence anyway, or movies, or literary for that matter.
Be interesting to see what controversy comes from WHATEVER the taboo actually is.
Something I just thought of and had not considered:
One, wasn't sure if the tech REALLY advanced enough on the streaming side to make up for crappy internet connections for Gakai to be feasible, but here's hoping.
Two, could Gakai be utilized as a "crutch" to add visual power to games actually running on your PS4? Sort of the way devs where able this generation to leverage streaming content from blu-ray discs in tandem with installs and so f...
Well, you have a point. I do oh s love to see my favorite CEO driving around in a purtty automobile mmmmm :)
Who's your favorite CEO?
They should make a CEO card game.
Bill Gates attacks with massive net worth bonuses!
Steve Jobs' Cyborg Clone Siri counterpart negates attack with iPhone 6 and a tootsie-roll slingshot!
Well if that's EA's model they will be starting off with less sales... enjoy.
UNLESS
In the unlikely possibility that they justify a seventy dollar price point by creating an game so massive in scope and exacting in implementation, glitchless, lagless and endless.
Good luck with that
If it is indeed true I wonder how this will play out. Don't think we've ever had this sort of "bridge" between generations before.
PS3 version would sell millions I'm guessing, unless many switch to PS4 and then what... they sell less PS3 versions of the game, but SOME PS4 versions. Kinda splitting their sales across two platforms... I just don't know what's gonna happen! (Ideally, buying one copy gets you a voucher on the other for free!!!!) May...
Veeeery smart approach to the free-to-play model. Take an already established online environment and keep it making you a bit of money and build off the current population of players to extend/bolster the life of that particular multiplayer experience at the same time and promote the base game as well.
Killzone did the same thing, it's smart.
Devs stand to make a few more bucks
Players get something for free
Original purchasers have an rei...
Sounds good to me :) I really want tons of weapon modifications and cool yet useful character customizations and tech.
Destructibility would be fantastic
I read that too, but I read also, don't have the link, that I believe it was Guerrilla themselves which stated the intended resolution and frame rate.. so that's the only reason I think time will not change anything.
But I do hope its 60 although I can stand 30 just fine too!
So far, it seems that this will indeed be commonplace as it has been this generation.
Shadowfall is reported to be 1080p and 30 fps
Edit myself somewhat (Shadowfall apparently was and is intended to run at 30 fps 1080p), go figure...
If your aren't considering the jump in resolution and frame rate, then yes it's you.
The jump from even a 720p title to 1080p is about a MILLION more pixels (double) on screen and then the 30 to 60 fps is like doubling the amount of processing power it takes (sorry for the VERY rough guesstimations).
So those same PS3 games running at twice the resolution and frame rate would take more than twice the processing power, not to mention considering things...
Honestly I don't know...
I am a PC gamer and I don't know HOW for the life of me there can even BE a "PC crowd" when everyone's got a different RIG!!! HAHAHA!
Are the masses (PC masses) really huddling around the few upper crust individuals with SLI and Crossfire stuff and thousands more invested in their machines and griping at what consoles are capable of??
I have a 3 GB HD 7950 and I STILL love Killzone's visuals ...
Options are always fine with me, so long as one of those options is always a FREE one too.
I think if the system is not necessarily technically the "more powerful" system spec-wise, then they can easily overcome this by showing off some polished gameplay footage to show that it IS capable nevertheless.
I think they have had an incredible strength in Live and should tout the innovations they've made, if any, to that service.
I keep wondering whether or not the Kinect functions will be built into the console body itself or as an indepen...
Also there are some "guard rails" in the form of some thick steel chain links... they are 2D as well... good lord, I can't think of the term, but bump mapping comes to mind, or whatever the myriad of technical tricks there are to give the impression of objects and surfaces having "depth" and "dimension" to them, but Crytek, I'm sorry to say, needs a lesson on when and how to employ such techniques because for whatever reason, I'm noticing them a lot i...
Glitches I've found:
I shot some elevated crane thingy with my gun (huge and heavy) and it swung around like a pinata just from a few bullets.
Another one was near the damn area, when you walk up some stairs, looking beneath the hand rails and the steps you can see the water (which is like 100 feet away) but there are like, close up reflections of the hand rails and steps appearing as though they were reflecting on the water and as if they were right near...
Sorry I don't have a screen shot, it was third level I think, an elevator that gets shot up from the outside, it's really pathetic.
The 2D textures in place of actual 3D objects for the red fire extinguisher/gas tank things is toooootally next gen...
Such an overrated game (lots of possibilities, but just not taken to the next level, PC by the way, max settings).
It's already been said a billion times over by now above, and I recall Guerrilla saying this as well, but Menu navigation, or certain aspects of the UI where it would enhance how you use it.
For some reason I didn't even consider this at all! I guess I was stuck in the idea of the D-pad or joysticks, but that little touch space seems perfect, hope it controls and reacts well to your touch.
As much as Sony DID announce, we really have a lot more to see...
