Adding in a gay romance or two was perfectly fine but this is just disgusting. It's not even subtle, it's just blatant "I'm promoting an agenda and there's nothing you can do to stop me you stupid, ignorant gamer". This kind of shit *never* works in games, and any kind of good will they might have had from the Enhanced Editions is completely washed away now. Good job, Beamdog, I'll never buy another game from you ever again. And I'm definitely not alone in th...
Because people on the internet never shit all over something they've never experienced for themselves, right?
I mean, I agree with the idea, but let's not pretend this is anything new.
Definitely don't trust Facebook with that kind of information. Any slight interest I might have had in getting one of these things is now dead.
Gaming sites/magazines have been using 8 as "okay" for over a decade. It's one of the dumber things game journalists do.
The TV show seems to be the major sticking point. If you like narrative and story based games and don't mind the gameplay taking a backseat to the story then you'll probably like this, if you don't really care about story and would rather just play a shooter, than you probably won't like it. That's basically what I'm getting from the reviews I've read.
Yes. Go the Sega route and turn into a game dev studio/publisher only.
I never knew Paradox started developing Street Fighter games.
The Order was also 4 hours long and didn't have an ending.
Indie games can be just as cliched and formulaic (we have how many 8-bit platformers now?) as AAA games. Not that a game that follows a popular formula is always bad, but those games need to be balanced out with new IP's and attempts at original ideas. No Man's Sky and Quantum Break are both good examples of games trying something different, and even if it ends up crashing and burning in a few years we should get some interesting innovation out of VR beyond the required porn games. So, his big complaint about a cinematic, story based game is that it's cinematic and story based? That's like complaining about Call of Duty having too much shooting.
Always nice to see women who aren't brainwashed by feminism.
This whole article reads like pure fanboy butthurt.
"So *what* that they're getting better games this month? *We* usually get the good games--just look at the crap they got last month! PSPlus is *obviously* still the best service and you're all just big stupid heads who can't see it!"
Who gives a shit which service gets better games in a particular month? Just...enjoy your platform of choice and let other people enjoy theirs.

I was talking about the video, not the game. We don't really know anything about the game yet, because aside from the E3 reveal they've released nothing besides this fluff.
My point exactly. Instead of a video showing even the smallest bit of gameplay they show off how pretty their water looks and people eat it up and go on about how great the game is going to be. Rare understands how to hook modern gamers--pretty pictures and no real information.
They're never bad for the game but they are bad for gamers in the short term, especially when it's a game that's been hyped up for years. Games shouldn't be announced until they're mostly finished, that way you don't have devs rushing to meet a release date and you don't have games being pushed back constantly. It's no surprise that you see delays mostly in AAA Japanese games, because they announce them pretty much the second they have a bit of concept art and ...
Nice to see Phil Tippet finally landing on his feet after that Dinosaur Supervisor job went so wrong.
Graphics over substance, Rare obviously knows how to appeal to modern gamers.
A new AAA Western RPG, a new story based TPS that isn't part of the Uncharted series, a well done stealth game, an English BL game. Lots of games, actually. Just none of the ones being released in May.
Because the "console war" is stupid and isn't actually real, Microsoft doesn't need to "counter" the PS4 just like Sony doesn't need to "counter" the Xbox One. But yes, MS should try to add in original Xbox backwards compatibility.
Adding any kind of open world elements to a game increases its length by default, so I'm not surprised.
