"Games are supposed to be difficult to master. "

No they're not, games are supposed to be fun. If you personally define "fun" as "difficult to master", then good for you. Many people don't. And there's a big difference between a game that's difficult to master but mastering it feels rewarding, and a game that's difficult to master because it's frustrating and poorly designed.

I agree that there are ma...

Have they changed it so lowering taxes doesn't get you a popularity loss for introducing a new tax yet? Or is this still a broken mess?

YES

A good narrative needs structure and pacing, two things which are almost impossible to have in an open world game. Note that I said almost impossible. Because the above commenter has a good point with Witcher 3. Even though I'm not a fan of the story, it was paced and structured very well because it kind of guided you with the difficulty of the quests and enemies. You couldn't just go anywhere because you'd die. You had the ability to, but it still steered you...

Nakamura will be DLC, most likely.

Unless it's literally pay to win (where you cannot progress past a certain point without using microtransactions, not free to play or free demo periods of play or just microtransactions existing--all things people love to claim is pay to win) they don't bother me at all in most cases. They're entirely optional, and in a world where Codebreakers and GameSharks don't exist anymore sometimes paying a few dollars so I don't have to grind is worth it, IMO.

*gasp* An early access survival game? How has no one ever thought of this before?!

I liked that a lot more than I expected to. I'm actually starting to get hyped for this game.

JD is ridiculously hot. He's even hotter when he's wet. Or sweaty. Like, Jesus Christ.

I very much would like to see more of JD Fenix soaking wet please.

They delayed it to 2017 a few weeks ago, actually. Don't get too hyped yet.

Partly. Mostly I'm annoyed at how everyone seems to spin every bit of news about the Xbox One as doom and gloom and yet Nintendo, as always, gets a pass it doesn't deserve.

3725d ago 7 agree3 disagreeView comment

Neither does the Xbox One, and yet how many articles a month are there about how the Xbox One is "losing" and how it "needs to catch up" to the PS4? How many times do people act like it's a failed console when it's sold over 20 million units, much more than the Xbox 360 had by this point in its lifecycle? Judging a console based only on how many units it sells compared to the highest selling console of the generation is stupid no matter what the console is. But, go...

Well we'll just have to disagree on this. Personally I feel completely ripped off when a game, especially an RPG, has a depressing ending. Real life is depressing enough, I need my fiction to be happy. Or at least hot heartbreaking.

*sigh*

I don't want to spend 50+ hours on a game just to be stuck with a depressing ending. What the hell is so wrong with ending a game in a way that leaves players satisfied and happy? Especially when you're asking people to spend so much time getting invested in these characters and accomplishing things with them. It's like sticking with a TV show for 9 seasons only for every main character to die on the last episode. It's a terrible choice, IMO. And it'...

Too linear, too many cutscenes, too similar to other entries in the series, it was okay.

IGN: 10/10

I wish more games would be linear, or at least not open world, especially games that encourage multiple playthroughs. The worst part of Dragon Age: Inquisition for me was how long the damn game was, because after putting 70+ hours into one character starting over to do it all again just to make different story choices seems like a massive chore.

IMO, it's kind of stupid that it's taking a new Uncharted game for people to realize this, because this has been a problem ...

I honestly don't see a problem with an easy mode. It's just an option. No one is forcing anyone to use it. The people who want the difficult experience get it and people who want to play it but don't want to constantly die all the time get that too. How someone else plays a game literally doesn't affect anyone but that person, so people getting all hostile when this come up doesn't make any sense to me.

Watch the SJWs still try to count this as a win even though this pose is just as "sexy".

Well played, Blizzard.

Yeah calling total BS on this review. You can not like the game, but there's nothing broken about it at all. If there was, you can bet more people would be mentioning that in their reviews. As it is, the game as a 77 on Open Critic with more than half of the reviews giving it an 8 or above. I'm only on the first act so far, but I'm enjoying it. Even finding the collectables isn't as boring as I find it in most games.
