Yeah, fun is subjective, but gamers aren't supposed to be objective about the games they play. Wanting a game to be fun--whatever that means to you--isn't unfair in the slightest. A game can be the most innovative, original thing in the world and still be boring.
I have zero interest in boobs and barely any more interest in fighting games, but if I had the money I'd import the game just to flip off the SJW's and show Koei Tecmo that there's a market for this kind of thing in the west no matter how butthurt kids on the internet get about it.

Actually it was never confirmed that it was a real NoE employee. It was one of those "my ______ works at Nintendo of Europe and Told me it was fake" things, from what I understand.

That's still six games out of the several hundred N64 games that used it. Not the best adoption rate, and not really worth it for people who didn't care about DK64 or a bit of a resolution boost. And the Expansion Pack was a relatively cheap add on, not an entirely new console that people need to buy.
This was the only thing about the original Xbox One that I thought was a tragedy to lose. If they do it right, it could be a real innovation in digital gaming.
The difference is the N64 Expansion pack didn't require you to buy a whole new system to take advantage of its power. Neither did the 32X. And those *still* had almost no games that took advantage of their extra power. An upgraded X1/PS4 would be an entirely new, full price console, like the New 3DS. And like the New 3DS, almost no one will want to develop games for the upgraded consoles because the regular ones will have a much bigger user base, which means more money for the developers ...
Lol Nintendo. They just can't give up their gimmick controllers, even though nobody wants one, can they? And this POS looks like something you'd get in one of those cheap plug-and-play sets. Just awful. Definitely giving the NX a skip if this is the controller. And if the rumors about Ninty stopping support for the Wii U are true, that pretty much means I won't be playing Nintendo games at all this generation. Sad, but they deserve to lose customers for this.
I think it's time for a reminder that major review websites are not the place to go for an unbiased (meaning not paid for, mostly) look at major AAA games from big studios. Read previews from multiple sorces, find smaller to mid-sized sites that you trust, maybe a YouTube reviewer or two who's big on disclosures, maybe some user submitted reviews if you're willing to wait. They let you do main story missions on your own? Because the game always made me enter matchmaking when I tried to do one.
