I would have to put up with it or quit gaming as I don't want to have to constantly be upgrading and tweaking a pc to play games.

As much as this falls in line with home, at the same time arguments can be made to show that Home is not Simple, not immediate, and not integrated.

Yeah I watched it on both the IGN feed and the PlayStation Home feed. The connection would cut out for Home because of the heavy traffic, so you had to get out of the theater, and get back in. That forced it to acquire the stream once more.
That's why it's good to educate yourself. Back in Sony reported some 19 million Users.

Backwards Compatibility is always supporting your every single one of your consoles for 10 years plus, regardless of the fact that new generation is out.

I'm really hoping that you're right about that. I don't use Home a lot in it's current form, but only because it not as seamless as I would like it to be. But plenty of people use it and it would suck if they drop it, especially when the technology is finally here.

So the Eyetoy (2007 for the ps3) is copying Kinect (2010). Son that's one more reason why you should love Sony. They're are able to see into the future and copy things from the future.
On topic though, this only seems like a logical progression as they have the PlayStation Mobile games that works on those devices as well. It shouldn't just be limited to the PS Vita. Sure the PS Vita will be the ideal device with buttons and all, but ...

I think Sony is not showing the actual console for a few reasons.
They probably don't want to give Microsoft the chance to analyze it and make adjustment to the next xbox. Sony are predominantly a hardware manufacturer, so they definitely don't want MS taking hints from them on how to integrate Kinect into their console in the same manner that they will do it.
