I hear you on that, but that's also the reason why sony continues to provide support for their older consoles.
I don't want the PS4 to only be a slight upgrade from the PS3. I want something that is substantially better than the PS3, so if it has to be $600.00 so be it. The people who can't afford it will stick with their PS3/Xbox360/PSVita/Wii U until they can afford it.
Yeah and I'm afraid to pick up Ragnarok Odyssey as I fear it will consume all my time as well.
Yeah Same here, I never really caught the CoD bug, but on the Vita it's a different thing though. I guess the portability plays a huge factor in that as well.
I have yet to open my copy of Black Ops 2 for the PS3, I gotta do something about that.
They should add 12 or so more hours to that number, as when he finally goes to sleep, his brain will be replaying the matches over and over again....
you can certainly get the game, but it's definitely not a $50.00 game. I personally think that they should have either delayed the game, or scrapped the awfully short and uninspired single player and make it a multiplayer only title. Maybe then the game would have been less buggy.

As Bill Cliton put it, it's simple arithmetic.
Sony have not only manage to sell more or less the same amount of consoles as Microsoft, but also did it in less time and at a higher price point.
Secondly, Sony doesn't just sell, PS3s (70 million of them so far) but they also sell, PS2s, PSPs, PSVitas.... I hope this let's you enjoy the scope of the PlayStation Brand a little bit better.
I beg to differ on the whole copying thing.
Maybe you should head over to PS3's Home and check out the ideas that Sony already brought forth and are bound to improve on.
I'm sure Nintendo is going to do some good things with the Wii U, but let's be very careful about saying who's copying what from where.

Not to mention that a new patch was just released fixing most small issues that early review copies had. I've been playing it for 3 hours now, and not a single problem so far.
I'm not saying that others are not having issues. Just pointing out that I haven't experience any of them, not a SINGLE one...
The Truth is the game is riddle with bugs, and I've been playing Fifa Games since 1999 just to give you a bit of perspective here.
Fifa 13 would be in pieces by now if I didn't download it on my PS3. The AI is cheap, you know the AI is going to score when no matter how many tackles you make, somehow the opposite team still ends up with ball, and you goalie becomes a 2 year old and can't stoop the simplest and weakest of shots.

But it's also very brave and commendable to have a writer stand up to that BS. These so called journalists sacrificed this entire generation of gaming just for few clicks and hits on their websites. Pitting PS3 fans against Xbox360 and taking their eyes off the real issues plaguing the industry.

I see and understand where you're coming from, but by definition "journalism" is by definition, the investigating and reporting of current events.
So yes a blog may lack the professionalism and ethics that comes with this responsibility, but it is still technically "journalism".
I don't have any concrete proof that they are paid off, but it's certainly not the first time that someone has alluded to that.
The fact remains that whether they've been paid of or not, the have certainly failed to represent us properly. They've misled us many times and rarely suffer any consequences.

Maybe you should get down with the facts a little bit. The PS3 has sold more in less time then the 360 has, 70 million in 6 years while being more expensive.
So it's not hard to see why the PS3 has overtaken the xbox 360 in total units sold. And lets not forget the high defective rates of earlier models of the xbox 360 which caused a lot...
