I use to hate campers a while back ago, but then when I stopped to think about it, I can't really fault them guys.
In real life, not one of you guys would be running around when you know that other guys are moving around with guns. So to me, snipers are some of the smartest and deadliest guys in FPS games and in real life. But that's exactly what I'm questioning. The new consoles have taken huge steps towards what the PC currently offers as far as what type of games they can play now. So isn't it a little too late?
There are many things that a PC could do that a PS1, PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 couldn't do. But now with the PS4 and next Xbox, that list has shrunken rather dramatically I would say. Consoles will be expected to play RTS, MMO's, and oth...
I really hope they do well with the Steam Box.
But I'm left with some questions though. I know that Steam has some 50 million users, but these are users whom a significant number of them own decent PC rigs. I'm not sure what the incentive is going to be to persuade them to buy this, just so they could play games that they're already capable of playing on their PC.

Clearly the "Best of your knowledge" is not much and highly out of line with reality. The PS2 at the peak of its selling powers was shipping between 16-20 million units a year worlwide. Educate yourself, then speak "to the best of your knowledge".

to your first point. You are clearly mistaking Sony with Microsoft. The last PS1 game was released in 2005, Fifa 05. Meaning that When the xbox 360 released, PS1 games were still being made. Sony stopped the production of PS2 a few months ago, 13 after launching it, Games are still being made and PS2 is Cheaper than ever, Brand NEW! Sadly all evidences says the contrary. People like to moan and complain, but very few people wanted to pay $600.00 for the PS3 when Sony was already taking a $200.00 loss on it. And one of the reasons why the PS3 was so costly was because of Backward Compatibility and them having to basically include a PS2 inside the PS3.
I'm a bit bummed out about not being able to play my PS3 games on my PS4. But in no way, shape, or form do I believ...
