@ Dark_Overlord
I didn't even know that actually, that's crazy.
I think that the Gaming Industry needs a governing body that goes after unfair practices. Otherwise I think it will go to sh!t really fast.
You know, a place where you can report abuses such as what you just showed me. Forcing them to explain why the same product is priced higher on the PS3, and get fined or sued for it.
Or when GameStop buys a fairly n...
"Why Sony Should’ve waited to Unveil the PS4 at E3"
Erm...Maybe the author have already seen the PS4, but the rest of the world haven't. Sony simply announced the PS4 at their event. What they've done is clever really. It's called the "Sniper Effect" where you've heard the shot fired, seen the dead person on the floor, but you don't know "where" the shooter is. So an entire battalion is halted by a single shot as every one...
yeah I'm with you on that one man. It should be a system that forces you to upgrade or die, when the only means of upgrading is to spend more money.
Surely games can have micro transactions, but to shorten/fragment a game on purpose in order to generate more revenue is straight up disrespectful to the gamer/consumer. And then EA have the Gall to say that "we love this stuff".... I'm steaming over that comment.
And I didn't buy the Bla...
@ Biggest Nintendo Fan.
The Wii line up may have been the best they've ever been for Nintendo, but they weren't nearly as many as the other 2 consoles.
Third Party games made up the majority of most people's library this gen, and that severely hurt the Wii in that regards. So first games alone can't do it against Sony or Microsoft.
If you look at software line up for all 3 of them (including multiplatform games) The Wii come...
Well whether it's digital or disc based, it's still a PS3 game right? Or am I getting this totally wrong here?
I'm assuming that it's the same reason why your digital PS Vita games, don't work on the PS3?
And secondly, if you own a PS3, and want to play PS3 Games, well...play it on your PS3.
Edit: Holy crap, everybody beat me to it.... lol
Are you saying that you believe that Sony is in similar situation to SEGA?
@Walker
I don't think so. Because of what Nintendo did with the Wii, the term "winning" have to be redefined. If can't just be about selling the most hardware. The PS1, PS2, didn't just win on numbers, they simply had the best line of software to back up the sales.
For this Generation, In my opinion, the PS3 is First with the Best software line up, and 2nd in sales. The xbox 360 is second with the Second best software line up, and 3rd i...
I think we can stop debating as it seems that things have already taken a "non-sense" turn.
For example: "Most of those games are inferior versions of titles already available on the PS3 aside from Gravity Rush."
Yet I listed 18 games, and 11 of them can ONLY be found on the Vita.
So thanks for the debate, but it's best we stop stop here.
Edit: and as for you "Logic". Clearly everyone who pla...
You think it needs its own original software like:
Soul Sacrifice
Spy Hunter
Uncharted Golden Abyss
Gravity Rush
Little Big Planet Vita
AC III: Liberation
Hot Shot Golf
Smart As
Unit 13
Black Ops Declassified
Resistance: Burning Skies
Ragnarok Odyssey
Silent Hill: Book of Memories
MotorStorm RC
Mortal Kombat
Street Fighter X Tekken
Fifa 13

@Logic
"I don't think Sony's smart enough to do that."
So you think that a company who's been in business for longer than you've been alive, doesn't know that a cheaper product will sell more?
It's never a simple matter of dropping the price and selling more units. When a manufacture makes a product, especially a console, they've already have a set budget, and a set number for the loss that they're willing to ...
@ MikeMyers
"People should be supporting the PC market more if they want the most advanced hardware."
I don't think you get it son. The people who wants "the most advanced hardware" already own a super expansive, top of the line PC. The rest simply don't want to deal with it, as it's not a straight forward thing.
You can brag about your modded 1000 HP Toyota Supra all you want to, but a 500 HP formula formula 1 car ...
No I'm saying that Sony's PSP was never after the same market as Nintendo's handhelds. Sony has always been about "specs" and core games.
Deviate: Verb
Depart from an established course.
Depart from usual or accepted standards.
Which course did Sony depart from in the handheld or console department?
@ WeAreLegion
Well, they are going after a different market. just look at the specs and the games for each handheld.
@DK286K
"Plus, 360's redesign actually ADDED features. What a crazy concept."
You're talking about those same features that the PS3 had since its launch in 2006? lol I know you're hurting a little, but don't make it so obvious.
Talking about "PS3's price has dropped 58% in just over six years." Son the PS3 has always been more expensive than the Xbox 360 yet it surpassed in sales, and did it in less time.
Haha SAE, no problems man, I did in good spirits really. :)
If it makes you feel better, I once stood up in a classroom full of students and said: "he ran away before the bomb could denied..." the silence and confusion on the teacher's face said it all really. But hey, English is only my 4th language..*shrugs*
Why 'through' it if you can simply "throw" it?
The article is an Opinion piece that fails to look at several key factors in its analysis, mainly PlayStation Plus.
Next gen will rely more and more on "added services" meaning that services like PlayStation plus is going to bring a huge amount of money for Sony and MS for that matter. Sure you'll be able to play online for free, but look at everything else you could be doing if you pay us $$ a year...
Secondly, Sony wont be spending too much ...
@ DoubleJJ
"for one that touchpad is little too small for most peoples hands especially mines. another thing is i don't have a clue how the developers will utilize that feature"
You're thinking the touch pad is small because you probably haven't taken a closer look at the DS4. The current DS3 has huge gap between the L1 and R1 shoulder buttons which the DS4 doesn't have as the new design bridged that space to instantly give the the Touch Pad...
It can also be useful for traditional PC games likes the Civilizations Series and such where a mouse pointer gives you more options and stuff.
And I'm guess that such games would be compatible with the PlayStation Move controllers as well.
"The only reason The PS3 is a little ahead is because of Japan where the Xbox brand non-existence"
I think what you meant to say is this: "The only reason the PS3 is a little ahead is because it came out a full year after the 360 and cost almost twice as much, 399 compared to 599."
Otherwise the PS3 would have been ahead by a lot more than it is right now.
