@ Jadedz
Well of course it is, it's an opinion piece and filed as such.
Also that line:"Nintendo has always been about region locking hardware (I believe so, anyway)"
I supposed that makes it ok somehow. I mean we always use to have slavery, so let's not change that. We have always been about candles, let's not move towards electricity and such. Let's do what we've always done and then call it next gen.

"This article is just pointing but little details for saying the Wii U will be a failure."
#1. The article does NOT say that the Wii U will be a failure.
"There are games out there that may be loaded with the best graphics, but utterly suck and bore you, and there are games made in the stone age that catch you for hours."
The article makes a point for graphics, physics, and overall gameplay.

What "All companies" are you referring to ronin4life that are following this trend? The PS3 and the PS Vita are both Region Free.
@ Jadeds
"And I'm sure 3rd party mic's can work via usb port (Wii U has 4 - 2 in front, and 2 in back)."
The article never stated otherwise.
From the article:
"Another major blow to the hardcore gamer is the new discovery by Kotaku that you will not be able to chat in-game w...
Jadedz you're right, diversification does help a business prosper indeed, but it shouldn't be done at the expense of your core audience.
People enjoying the Wii U, or the Wii for that matter is not what the article is really addressing. Rather it is addressing factual things about the console.
It's not an Opinion that the Wii U is region locked, and it's also not an opinion that in-game voice chat for the Wii U will be an inconvenience for the...

"As a gamer if the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system is not enough for you. What is your definition of next Gen. What would one have to provide for you to give you that significant leap that you have been preaching about? And what would you do or say if your brand of choice took the Nintendo rout and chose innovation over pure graphical prowess?"
From the Article:

Oh shoot! you're right....I'll have to recharge it then. LBP have a way of sucking the life out of my Vita as you bluntly put it.
I think all Sony is saying is, "love what you do and do it as often as possible. Life is short, and responsibilities such as work, girlfriend/wife, kids, etc make it even shorter. So here's a small piece of convenience for you, the gamer, and enjoy Livin la Vita Loca! While others hate as if they're loco.
So A company who sells you a system at $200.00 dollars below the manufacturing cost, and doesn't sacrifice a game's budget for the sake of advertisement is dumb?
I don't mean to be disrespectful and I apologize in advance if I am, but you guys have to be some of the dumbest gamers ever, of any generation.
You're praising Halo, a franchise that has more money going to marketing than the actual games themselves....smh
Funny you mention that, just yesterday I tried to see if I could use my Vita as a keyboard in home, so that would definitely be a welcomed addition.
And I think the somewhat clunky aspect is a major hurdle for Home right now, it makes it feel as though its lacking something. And no it definitely doesn't have to be, which is why I'm wondering if Gaikai can actually improve on that aspect in anyway.
Imagine you check your friend's list and see t...
"I couldn’t tell you why Resistance or Infamous couldn’t break the 5 million mark"
But I can, It's quite simple you see, Very few games gets to sell 5 million units ever. You can't a system this Generation that has more than 10 games to break that mark, yet each system have hundreds of games that came out for them.
@ colone179
I would never say no to exclusive PS Vita games, but the song that your singing is getting kind of old in my opinion. Here are a few reasons why.
Nobody in the industry has track records that Sony does for coming up with new IPs, second of all, the PS Vita has plenty of exclusive games, and you can bet your life savings that it'll have more to come.
Secondly, the PS Vita is its own platform. I don't see anyone complaining ...
@Ndivhu--" The term mandatory install would not exist in gaming jargon if PS3 didn't use Blu-ray."
So in an age where we have PC gaming, DLCs, and Full Dowloadable games, the term "mandatory install" would not exist if it wasn't for Sony and their crazy blu ray idea right? I think what you meant to say is that if it wasn't for a crazy amount of double standard, such term wouldn't be associated with Sony and the PS3 to start with.

Wow, the amount of people talking about things that they don't understand here is staggering.
Guys....when an actor signs a commercial contract to represent a certain company, there is always a clause that states that said actor CANNOT EVER feature in any commercial work representing a competitor, it is a breach of contract.
Lebron is under Contract with Nike, hence can never appear in a commercial for Adidas, or Reebok, or Under Armour. Same thing for M...
Oh for sure man, that's how a debate should be, it's either you're adding something to the conversation, or else you're trolling right? The latter is not my style, I'm too practical to act a fool, I try to keep it logical, and keep my cool.
So yeah, definitely looking forwards to your inputs in the future man.
Haha, we may have different perspective, but I like your style man, straight up PR talk, lol.
I guess we will have to agree to disagree here a little bit. It seems that the advancements that you're so amazed about, don't really have the same effect on me as I feel that the majority of them are already found elsewhere.
I mean yes you have the Tokyo Street demo, but how is moving the camera around not better done with the analog sticks on a controller, or how is the fact that you can use AR(Augmented Reality) with the PS Vita and 3DS not equally as impressive a...

I dont totally agree with what you're saying. Surely there's going to be differences between the two offerings, but the videos you show are not really that impressive.
The PS Vita does things that New Wii U can't do...

That's a really sad thing for gaming in general really. Splinter Cell was one of the few games to do stealth gameplay so well. I was 100% tense the entire time I was playing the game, as every enemy you encountered represented a new sets of problems. From raising alarms to knowing where how you're going to dispose of the body.
Good Old times are gone I guess. I hope the new one succeeds in whatever new experience that it is trying to bring us.
Well the only problem is that the Wii U DOESN'T have EVERYTHING! it certainly offers more than the Wii, but can you please name me which console from this Gen and the last one that didn't offer more than the Wii?
This Idea that just because the Wii U is offering more than the weakest console made in the last 10 years (Wii U) then everyone should shut up and not be critical about it just doesn't sit well with me.
It's the nature of people to ...
