I know he's not as good as he was a few seasons ago but he still has it and in the MLS he's better than anyone there. He has done to MLS what Pele couldn't do to the old American soccer league. He's got it in him still, he just needs to heel properly. I doubt LAX will make the playoffs this year but next year watch out!

I mentioned the 9minute framing issues with this movie in one of the many many BD/HD DVD threads and some tried to debunk it due to my 'fanboyism' even though i'm neutral on the format.

but it's true fellas, someone i know told me there are parts that aren't too bad and others that have the heads cut completely off. major F up on disney's part

if you are going to delete the negative side of it? Maybe it'ld be better if an 'official warhawk issues' thread were created where all issues would be placed there rather than deleted.

Sadly majority won't pick up the player since it's priced outside the budget. For the A/V buffs who don't own a BD player, they'll gladly pick this one up for the BD1.1 profile.

Which reminds me, I though this player was delayed until end of next year?

this war won't be over 'any day now' but more of years from now. by the time 1 format 'wins' it'll have put itself out the race. expect both to win and dual format players to pick up pace soon as they become more available and cheaper for the consumer.

as for this new major supporter, don't read more into it. asus just said they are supporting BD, they didn't mention NOT supporting HD DVD. reminds me of ACER where 1 week they said yeeeah BD then this week said yeeeah HD DVD as ...

It's also the reason why most are happy enough with DVDs and their cheaper pricing. I'm neutral on the format but do see better in HD DVD for the consumer as far as pricing but not a fan of combo disk pricing as it puts DVD/HD DVD disk combos more expensive than BD disks. I love the idea just not the pricing of them. but most are confused or waiting for a 'winner' which is sad because either both will fail or the consumer will start to adopt dual format players and let both strive on.

i would love to see it, because as it stands majority of multiplatform titles all seem to look better on 360. so what was sony tooting their horn about 'play beyond' and 'next gen starts when we say it does'? seems like the inferior system is the one with the "crappy ports"

tis sad but true

to below: i'm no fanboy. i do only own a 360wiiPC combo and do plan to pick up a ps3. it shocks the crap out of me that a sport europe loves isn't better on a consol...

You are in a gamer dominated site looking for HD DVD news. Also, as it seems, dominated by the Sony boys so it's expected that here all you hear is ProBD and HD DVD is dead news

Far from it, taking an HDM 60/40ish split from 3% isn't domination. It's pathetic vs the real competition (DVD).

Sure 300 sold better on BD than HD DVD. And sure it could be 2:1. But is that anything to brag about when you have 10 times the players and where a movie like BD is geared more towards guys and gamers?

Oh yeah, that's right... BD is the mecca of HDMs... I didn't get the memo from Sony

but let's look at the facts... How many people have the home theater setup and are proficient to know exactly the advantage of lossless audio? Most BD fans and Sony fanboys have already preached the lack of TrueHD, DTS, etc but only preach specs without really knowing what they are saying. Of course I would like to have a lossless soundtrack but I'm no audio guru and prefer better visuals since for me Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) works plenty good (for me). The movie is slated to be released just...

HD DVD already won then

sony and many in the BDA sat (some still sit) on the HD DVD board while BD was in development behind HD DVD's backs. Toshiba didn't mind having the competition there, sony's only returning the favor and doing so in a marketing scheme kind of way

yet another thing the sony group imitates or copies

it's supposed to be fully upgradeable and crank out 1080p in every fashion. it's more high end then the 360 add on and the ps3 and likewise should have more features

figure the price and the fact not every movie buff wants a game console as a player, it really isn't bad

6713d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

infernus, if that's true on what you are saying than that's pretty foul

since this is america, i wonder if i can sue sony for the '100% BC, ALWAYS' thing they preached ;)

he's like me, has the same likes in games as me and likewise we have liked and disliked all games we played. halo 3 will be a great fun game to play, nothing to knock about that. controls are spot on, a lot of R&D was done to ensure great maps and game modes, and it's that fast paced action that i like. i believe him than any young kid on N4G or any veteran reviewer on a gaming board but those who tried it all say the same thing, it's halo 2 on crack with much more fun

How assinine was the developer by NOT including an option to change from SIXAXIS to regular analog sticks. If SIXAXIS controls were bad i'm sure it'ld be easy to code a different control layout as an option for those who don't like, hate, can't get used to SIXAXIS even if it were done so well. Most games nowadays have the ability to change control layouts. Just because SIXAXIS is there doesn't mean Lair developers had to be the guinea pigs to utilize it (very badly mind you) 100%. It reminds ...

I didn't get into the beta but a buddy of mine did and he said it's exactly as he expected, and more. He mentioned how much fun the beta was. I heard this from everyone else who got in the beta as well. The game will be great fun for all to play. Nothing to bash it as it really is a great series and likewise should be a great single player campaign as well as a mulitplayer FPSer that all will join.

I just hope the timmies keep to themselves since they can ruin games or just be ...

this game is horrid. reviewers said so. gamers said so. it looks jaw dropping good most of the time but doesn't play well and proves that graphics alone can not make a game

if the developer were smart, they would have put a classic button/analog stick control as an option similar to what warhawk did. notice how warhawk gets some decent reviews and gamers say it's a ton of fun? imagine if they stuck to just SIXAXIS for everything on that too...

lair is sh*t, sorry...

from what i've been reading, the issues aren't with the easy first few stages but the more complex later stages and if it's as broken as the reviewers and honest gamers say it is, i don't think a few nanoseconds for communication between controller & system will help any

but good luck, sadly lair is yet another title that falls short

the consumer IS confused. hells even a lot of the tech savy AVS guys can get mixed up with facts and rumors

combined both formats are a blip in over all sales radar. and of this blip it's practically even (1.5:1 in favor of BD which is embarassing considering that there is 10x the players over HD DVD). the average consumer looks at 1 thing, price. and that is in favor of HD DVD (which only helps that the cheap China HD DVD players are confirmed for xmas). BD with it's unfinishe...
