soon as the wii is loaded with fun titles people will be "un-bored" of it. i have the wii60pc combo and although the 360 is the dominant console i still play the wii more than pc (i used to do pc ONLY for a good 1-1.5 years). the great games are coming, be patient... it's the same way for the ps3 and future 360 titles, the great games will come

i really don't get wtf u guys keep talking about with lag on live. i have only experienced it once in R6V and that's because the host's connection when from good (green) prior to joining the room to bad (red) when everyone has joined. lag has been an issue with any and all forms of online gaming so don't preach the ps3 titles being lag free just yet. if u are retarded enough to join a game online with a crappy connection/ping then u deserve to have your online exp...

i 'hacked' my psp to allow me to play backups of my own psp games and movies that i own. i also did so to allow me to run homebrew apps that initially were allowed in v1.5 prior to sony pulling the plug on that feature.
i'm not the brightest pc guy out there, but i know enough and following simple instructions online i was able to upgrade the firmware to allow me to do what i have done. i was literally inches away from selling my psp...

if i wanted a BR player, i would buy a ps3 hands down. but i dont care for BR/HD DVD as i dont see myself buying $30 for a movie i'll watch once. i debate wether i should pick up a dvd at $7 and this goes across MANY people's minds. i mean isn't there a buttload of dvd sales per the minuscule hd dvd/br sales combined? tells u something... people aren't ready for this technology.
rocky, slow down a bit... overpriced yes, massively overpriced no. frame rate and delayed release, well... u got a point. from what i have heard PSN isn't really laggy. i mean LIVE is laggy as well. all depends on the game and the connecting that you and the host has. if either or both are crappy, expect lag no matter what service u are on. it's simple, pc guys have dealt with it for years. just look at the connection and pick a ping that is good, lag issues resolved.

slimming the ps3 down will be done for 2 reasons.
1 - to save money aka make money on consoles sold. cheaper internals, less plastics involved, etc will save a company money which would be the reason enough to do a redesign
2 - to boost demand with a new look, 'better' fresher design, & ultimately increase sales. tons of companies do it now with the same product new look scheme. if sales aren't doing so great, then why not boost them up by changing what people don't like. i ...

god of war 1 was a GREAT game.
god of war 2 is probably going to be more of the same, maybe few extra moves here and there with a good storyline. remember people this is a ps2 game, NOT a ps3 game. so preach it as a great ps2 title that can be played on the ps3. the only bonus is this supposed upped resolution on the ps3

both systems will graphically look great, but it comes down to the games. if the games are horrible, the system will be viewed as horrible. let's hope this time around we don't have a plethora of games where majority are crap (ref ps2 library).
for the record my 360 is still working like a champ, aside from 4 times it froze on me from me going a lil too fast with the menu button smashing.
