Road 96 was very good (assuming you like narrative driven games). The soundtrack was simply amazing -you can listen to the songs on Youtube which again I recommend.

I always wanted to experience VR gaming. It has been always my dream. However I feel nausea everytime I try vr :-(

I even tried a meditative experience on oculus quest and still felt sick (the experience was static-in a cave meditating with crystals around you and relaxing music).

Regretful I am missing these experiences.

I wish I could experience resident evil 7 , doom 3 vr, supermassive VR game and Horizon Call of the Mountain but ...

He said and I quote ""every year is critical" . So how come every year they underdeliver and rely on promising new games announced too early (and which sometimes get delayed due to mismanagement-I am looking at you Perfect Dark, Everwild, State of Decay 3 etc)?

But I am now assured because he told us that "he feels "good about Xbox's momentum". /s

Killzone 3 was super impressive! I could not believe the graphics back then as I was regularly pausing the game to stand in awe looking at the surroundings! Resistance however did not impress me that much. Heavy rain is also another amazing graphically speaking game. It almost felt next gen

Day One purchase - everything cthulhu mythos related gets on my radar.

Its funny how it is ok (and at times celebrated) to lock important former multiplat games from other consoles like final fantasy 16, street fighter 6, Star Wars Remake, Spider Man, Silent Hill to PS5.

However when a smaller scale new IP discarded as gamepass filler/shovelware by fanboys (for which they dont care as they claim) is released on Xbox and PC, it is considered by the same people a bad practice.

MS started this awful trend with third party ex...

The format was refreshingly good. Not much time was wasted on development speak as decent gameplay footage was shown throughout the duration of the direct.

Previous MS developer events showed devs on chairs hyping their own projects and MS shills projecting fake enthusiastic vibes.

This was more down to earth, gamer friendly event in my opinion

Given the limitations of switch hardware, I will buy this on Steam Deck. CHRONOS : BEFORE THE ASHES
was rather decent on Switch though. I found it to be a solid port.

At least Sony supports single player games far more than Microsoft which is why I prefer Sony games over Xbox's. God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted, Last of Us, Rachet, Days Gone, Spiderman and Ghosts of Tsushima. Now thats an amazing lineup of single player games.

Point still stands as Microsoft could have pulled the plug like they did with Obsidian's god of war like project.

So I am not sure what you are talking about. They let the project go through like they did with Pentiment.

I still remember to this day playing Mortal Kombat 2 on game gear and being astounded by its graphics in comparison to the gameboy version.

Your are quite right on the numbers front. Two point of interest however if you allow me:
1. Xbox does not have to finish first to be a success. During the 6th generation of consoles, original xbox in its first outing, outsold both Dreamcast and Gamecube (established video game companies at that time). It also finished 2nd, not 3rd.
2. On its second outing, xbox 360 finished 3rd but managed to grow its installed base from 24 millions to 80+ millions and established xbox as a...

Farewell social life. It was nice knowing you

Ok I have to admit that the direct format was really nice this team. They did not bore us to death this time with developer speak. I think it striked a good balance between gameplay and information.

While I am not into these type of games any more (last time I played was Left for Dead 2), the promise of a story driven adventure and the atmosphere of horror that the game invokes (love how the vampires howl and scream and their powers), really makes me wanna try this. Hope it turns out ok

The issue here is that everything not labeled as a AAA, game is immediately tagged as gamepass filler. It is as if ALL the development studios have thousands of developers working on two or three AAA projects at once (which frankly is not realistic given the rising of development costs).

Sometimes small budget games are being pitched and small teams are being assigned to them as proof of concept.

Some of those projects turn out to be great games (A Plague...

Dont mind them m8, this site is filled with fanboys defending a piece of plastic bought to us by companies who spend every single day thinking new ways of milking their consumers (I am referring to all 3 ofcourse)

ok I believe that Deadly Premonition 2 scene described in the article, takes the cake! Although one could argue that there are so many memorable ridiculous moments in this game.
