Agreed. A unified subscription with older games is a sufficient response to MS Game Pass.
I am blown away by the quality of Forbidden West and would hate to see that quality drop due to reduced funding.
Happens wayyyyy earlier every generation.
In the PS3/360 era by this time we had:
Uncharted, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, Cod 4, Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, Ratchet & Clank Future
All of which were next-gen exclusives at the time.
I have no idea why I still get weak in knees for Final Fantasy after so many years but every release gets me really hyped. Can’t wait.

Honestly, Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West really scratch my Final Fantasy itch although it's not exactly the same. Great RPGs!

2010-2022 is a marvelous run for Sony and the produced the arguably the highest quality and quantity single player games of any publisher.
It would be a shame to see them lose that focus chasing the almighty dollar.

Imagine buying a $5 burger and halfway through they take it away, walk some distance away and tell you can come get it for free or pay $1 to have it brought back to you.

Driving mechanics and pure gameplay is amazing tho but boy does the last week leave a bad taste.

People criticize companies as a way to get them to address their flaws.
MS clearly has huge flaws in their processes if in year 2 of your console launch you have effectively zero exclusives.
This is after buying a ton of studios and almost an entire generation with little good exclusives.
