GT7 is an amazing game that I really love.
GT7 with GAAS, microtransactions, always online, server errors, (I’m yet to be able to play a single online game), lowering race pay outs.

When someone says a game takes inspiration from GTA 3 it doesn’t mean GTA 3 is 100% wholly original by itself. Of course GTA 3 took inspiration from a TON of other games: 3D graphics & camera control, shooter mechanics etc etc.
But it built upon that inspiration in a meaningful way by creating the typical mission style open world format that we know now.

R&C is still by far the best looking console game. The textures on it are insane.
Now GT and GOW:R looks like PS4 pro games.
The races are limited to 60 fps with no ray tracing. Only the replays have RT at 30 fps.
Unfortunately, there are no options to change from 60fps to 30fps while driving.
I would have liked the option.
This is the downside of the 60 fps boner everyone suddenly got this gen.

The thing about these things guys is that its like cancer. It starts small but once they get away it it grows and grow into something that stinks.
With the switch and steam deck I find myself imagining a world where all consoles paused on graphical increases for one generation and adopt a hybrid console.
How awesome would it have been to play Horizon Forbidden West while laying in bed at night? Or on a bus to work?
