Thanks 🙏🏽
I’ve never really been into the Halo series as I never had an Xbox but what 343 is doing to a beloved game series is really awful.
Step up your game Microsoft…
What an amazing game. Hats off to Sony!
Hmm… I found the graphics underwhelming compared to the Spiderman PS4 -> PS5 remaster.
I really thought fanboy-ism would have reduced as more older and more mature people grew up and continued gaming.
But it is still really wild!
I really love the Playstation brand but even here on n4g the way people rush to their defense (even when they make a mistake) is wild.
Do you really want to pay the same price for a game that required 6-8 months of work as one that required 5 years of work?
Is this a trend you want to support?
I’m hyped for the remake as well but cmon man, its ridiculous.
Nintendo shouldn’t do it.
Sony shouldn’t do it.
Happy?
We lose when we bicker and fight between ourselves like this.
We should not be paying the same price for a game that requires 40% of work compared to 100%. It’s that simple.
We should raise our voices that this is something we DON’T want.
And it would just get worse and worse if we let it continue.
If you think Final Fantasy VII can be remade in 4K in one entry at Remake’s quality you’re delusional.
Repeat after me.
It… is… a… sequel…
And it was damn clever to start a sequel trilogy with the remake of a beloved title.
Are you complaining because they “broke” Horizon or Spiderman in three parts?
Wow! Throw Spiderman 2 in there as well.
We eating good boys!
60fps zealots fail to understand is that more powerful hardware does not necessarily mean higher fps.
With more powerful hardware devs can simply target even more photo realistic graphics and we would still be at 30 fps resolution mode and 60 performance mode.
The PS5 can easily do 240 fps at PS3 level graphics. Devs just choose not to release a game looking that terrible.
A company that does blatant cash grabs would do it again in a product that you care about.
Sony has been doing some really greedy stuff this gen then trying to reverse it quickly when there is outrage.
Keep condoning it and eventually Sony reaches the level of Activision and EA where money is the only concern.
I have no problem paying $70 as well. But we should complain.
60%-70% of the work on this game has been done already. Story, Characters, Pacing, Set Pieces, Writing, Choreography, Gameplay systems.
It is not a from the ground up remake like RE2 or FF7.
I love TLOU but should we pay $70 for a game that has 60% of the work already done?
And it just keeps showing up in Sony’s decisions.
Milk the fans for as much...
Unpopular opinion but I think the greatest games of the generation SHOULD be carried over from generation to generation.
Gaming is a unique medium where the gameplay systems age and make it much more difficult to consume the great works of a past generation if you started gaming after the game was released.
Books, movies and songs don’t have this problem.
(A Beatles song today is still amazing from a technical perspective.)
Kee...
Eventually you would be able to deepfake any face into VR games like these. The future is interesting…
To me yes.
Throughout Final Fantasy’s dark days in the 2010’s it was the only game I played you felt like you were an entire TEAM striving towards a goal. I love that feeling. Practically every other game I played is with one single character.
To me going on a journey with friends is one of the Final Fantasy franchise staples.
I’d be pretty bummed if it isn’t. Especially after FF7 Remake captured that friendship feeling so well.
@shinoff
Please name a game with
8 fully controllable characters with unique movesets
The game was a 50 hour JRPG with a new story.
If that is not a complete game then I don’t know what is.
FFVII remade in 4K with the graphics and presentation of Remake is impossible.
There is no game at that scale.
Insane that this is after buying a ton of studios. Terrible management…
FF7R was a bit too easy for me on the first playthrough.
I wish SE would just have difficulty options and make life simple.
