@Kakashi
No the game should be $40 in proportion to the dev cycle work put into the game. It is not a brand new game in any regard so it should not be priced like one.
Think about this…
This refresh of a DECADE OLD game cost $10 MORE than Elden Ring which is a BRAND NEW 60-80 hour RPG.
How is that ok?
Imagine these fanboys want a decade old game with a fresh coat of paint for MORE money AND with piece of the game MISSING.
This is wild. Mind-blowing honestly.
Oh you “businessman”
I sure hope you’re in line to support loot boxes, NFTs, GaaS and micro-transactions with the same energy
People complain when they don’t get value in what they purchase. It’s been that way since money was a concept.
Sony through the PS4 generation constantly provided high quality content at a fair price and good customer service. (Remember used games in 2013?)
Since Jimmy took over Sony has had in...
You the real champ.
It is like its a foreign concept around here…
Was the gameboy,DS,PSP and Vita “underpowered”?
Can we stop advocating that longer games are better games?
I’m a 30 year old guy with a career prepping to get married soon. Life is busy man. But I still love gaming…
I get maybe 30 mins a day to game with maybe two hours on SOME weekends.
I really hate that nearly all AAA games require WEEKS of dedication for me to complete.
I’d really be down for shorter AAA quality games that charge less. Maybe a 10 hour game for ...
Woke: Bringing unrelated social activism and commentary into completely unnecessary situations.
Eg. My friend brought an LGBTQ poster and stuck it on my grandmother’s casket during the funeral. The family was upset because he is too woke.
Great article! Great game series!
For sure. Its ruining everything.
Ikr 😂
Nope
Nothing as cinematic as three characters standing in a row waiting to attack…
Shocker.
Development in technology allows things to be done that was impossible on older technology.
*Gasp*
I have no idea how this even became a debatable opinion. Last gen games holds back nex-gen games. That’s an objective fact.
Yeah most of my friends never played FF in the PS1 era because “choosing attacks (from a menu) is boring”.
I can see the appeal from a business perspective to capture a large audience.
Final Fantasy has also always aimed to be a cinematic game. Turn based attacks is anything but cinematic.
I’m so incredibly hyped for GOW after Horizon :FW.
Dying for another cinematic, story driven RPG with amazing graphics.
C’mon November!
I agree with you but this problems does not exist in isolation.
When a company is greedy it eventually affects all of their decisions and eventually the quality of their products.
Over the past two years, Sony has been in controversy after controversy over petty greedy issues (Horizon PS5 pricing, GT7 micro transactions)
Sony is currently the ONLY publisher I trust to buy games Day one from and I would hate to see that change.
...
Nope. Die-hard fan of the game here. TLOU is in my top three games of all time and I’ll be buying the remake day 1.
I’ll also be the first to say that this remake is not worth $70. Regardless of the “care and attention to detail”: the script is already written, the conflict already set, characters already developed, overall gameplay progression already completed.
Why is the game priced like a full dev cycle game? Why is there no respect for fans who may b...
They also said that no locations are being left out.
I don’t think anyone was offended. But there are good jokes and there are bad jokes.
This is a bad one. It isn’t offensive just not funny and kinda head scratching.
They make single and multiplayer games. Why would you insult the product that you’re making…
It’s just wasn’t a good joke.
I always wanted to tell a lazy writer directly to stop using click bait titles.
The game didn't "launch"; it is in Open Beta. Specifying Beta is a huge aspect of the story that you purposefully left out of the headline for clicks.
If you did include it the headline would not make sense. "Beta launch has issues" is like saying water is wet.
Please do better. The world has enough lazy journalists. Earn your keep b...
