Same! Can’t wait!
Amazing.
Switch is having a phenomenal year.
Nice to see the game lives up to the hype!
The review states it takes inspiration from BOTW!
Can we agree that’s cool or is that against the N4G conspiracy?
I must say that this is an excellent well written article. Kudos to the writer.
I’m excited to play this game when it reaches it’s potential as the setting looks amazing.
But please let’s not blame this one on gamers.
It wasn’t “hype” that killed it. It was the greed of CDPR to release a buggy unfinished game and lie about its state.
It is not “hype” to expect an “next generation” open world game to work as good as GTA 3.
A game cannot take full advantage of the PS5 while still able to run in the PS4.
Impossible.
The SSD and HDD are worlds apart in speed requirements and anything designed specifically to maximize the SSD cannot work on an HDD.
Because it isn’t built to take full advantage of the PS5.
Not true. Both consoles are breaking sales records.
1+ Year First Party cross-gen games are not normal.
Exactly.
Super hyped still tho. Day one!
It is such a strange phenomenon? What caused it?
BOTW is known as a masterpiece every where else. But on N4G it is a “Ubisoft game with a Zelda Skin”.
GTA’s open world is flawed in that the missions can be carried out only a specific and precise way.
BOTW actually fixes that and allows you to do the missions in whatever way you figure out.
GTA is amazing and way more revolutionary but BOTW does push the needle forward.
Apparently only on this site has the enlightenment that BOTW, one of the highest rated games of all time, is nothing but a mere empty, iPhone, indie game.
It has managed to get near perfect reviews ONLY because it is a Zelda game.
It is one of the strangest phenomenon.
To all other normal folk… BOTW is a masterpiece.
You missed the innovative game design structure that allows you to progress through the game in whatever order you choose and allows you to do missions in whatever way you figure out to achieve it.
Now sit back and watch as games over the next decade adopt and learn from this philosophy and you enjoy them for their freedom and autonomy that it gives to the players.
What in the world? No it has not been done before.
Did you play BOTW?
Tell me another game that when you leave the tutorial you can go straight to the last boss?
Where you can progress through the games missions in what ever order you choose while still having an excellent polished experience?
In GTA etc the game has a progression of story missions where the game takes place -Linear progression but in a sandbox.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I’ve read takes like these countless times prior.
But I’m playing BOTW for the first time in 2022 and I can’t disagree with your opinion more.
Zelda’s open world is unlike any I’ve ever experienced in gaming before. (Gaming since 1999)
The open ended structure of the game and mission design is revolutionary even 5 years later.
When you leave the tutorial you get the mission ...
3D/VR/AR/Metaverse whatever you want to call it… it is coming.
Microsoft, Google, Apple and FB are all building hardware for it.
That would require 3D modellers, animators and programmers.
Activistion is filled with 3D modellers, animators and programmers and Microsoft would need alot of them in the future of computing.
Thus they bought Activision. Gaming and gamepass is a benefit yes. But it really is shortsighted...
What exactly is hilarious? This was actually my first thought when I heard the news.
The “metaverse” while it is an annoying buzzword for now, it is coming in some form. Schools, work, entertainment would all utilize large amount of 3d visualization.
Imagine going to school and instead of learning about WW2 through a book and a youtube video you are standing in a photorealistic depiction and specific site seeing it played out.
Apple, Mi...
Guys I really hope I’m wrong here but I always try to make sense of what is going on.
Playstation’s moves for the last year have been seemingly made on “how can we extract the most amount of money from players.”
Just look back to Horizon update path backlash, no last-gen controllers, $70 games and so much other little things.
The live service push unfortunately seems like more of the same thinking.
Are they going into...
Loving this!
